Alert | I need to lose 50lbs. Well, that is my goal. I hear walking is great for that. Since it's getting cooler out I may just do that. I am lazy though.. hahahahhaha I guess I need to eat nothing but grilled chicken and veggies every day.

Alert | I have lost 30/lbs using www.sparkpeople.com, its free and it works!
It all comes down to calories IN verses calories OUT, period. Every diet in the world comes down to that, just different flavors, foods, techniques, masking this simple fact.
5 Keys to weight loss: 1) Set realistic goals and reward yourself when you accomplish them 2) Record every thing you eat, and all exercises (see www.sparkpeople.com) 3) Remember, miss a day, who cares, its the rest of your life your changing, not this week, this month, etc. 4) Weigh yourself daily 5) You can't change your past, you can't guarantee your future, but you can execute in the moment, thats all you have to do, leave the rest to certain outcome. | | 47.2 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot!

Alert | Kharless makes a great list!!
When I moved to Maricopa, I was overweight. My secret is not a secret really. I eat all the fruits and veggies I could. I eat Salmon often. Lean chicken is good, too. I'm an oatmeal person for breakfast. I mix in fruit like bananas, apples, berries, or raisins.
I cut out sugar food/dring and fatty foods. I don't add salt. I drink much water.
As for exercise, I hit the stairclimber, swim, and run. I prefer to play sports, so it's flag football and softball right now. (can't wait for a soccer league). It's important to use resistance, too. More muscle increases metabolism, added fat slows it down. Resistance is good to overcome plateau periods.
I allow myself to eat the foods I enjoy. I just eat until satisfied. | | My answer WAS "NO" to Q#5 and Q#1. Proverbs 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Alert | | I have lost 35lbs since my baby was born 8 weeks ago..the best thing is to do some form of cardio before you eat in the morning. find something you like to do...Walking is great if you like that but if not try bike riding or skating, also eat a diet that is high in protein and fiber and low in sugar and carbs...if you write down everything you eat for the day I think you will be amazed to see how many calories you are comsuming just from normal foods...I like the fiber one products they really help if you have a sweet tooth, I usually eat one of the fiber one bars and some egg whites for breakfast and it is actually really good some other good food ideas are...vegetables, berries, tuna, grilled chicken, whole wheat pitas, ezekial bread, any type of white fish, low sugar popsicles, sugar free pudding (although its high in sodium so limit your intake), almonds, and oatmeal...let me know if you have any other questions, I have my personal training certification and nutrition and fitness is my major hobby

Alert | If you like Boca, try Quorn! Amazingly delicious! They make a "roast" which is great with mashed potatoes and gravy and awesome "chicken" patties. I almost never eat Boca or Morningstar anymore.

Oh have you tried the cookie recipe with fiber one cereal, peanut butter and chocolate? A little dry but very filling and really satisfy a sweet craving.

Alert | | I eat meat and boca burgers are actually not bad. My veggie friends said that they feel strange eating them sometimes because they do taste a lot like real meat. They remind me of McDonalds hamburger patties! | | "Nobody cares if you're miserable, so you might as well be happy"

I hate most veggie burgers, including the Boca's.. But that one at Four peaks is amazingly yummy.
