But they weren't even "Christian," per se, in the beginning. The symbolism and storyline drama center around Hiram Abiff, a stone mason working on Solomon's temple. There's nothing remotely "Christian" per se in either the ritual or the symbolism.

Granted, the vast majority of Mason are and have been Christian, but it's not like it started out solely Christian and only recently "branched out." It's more a function of having begun in Europe during the Middle Ages.

I meant they were and still are majority of Christians. Just by there own rules of entrance you need to believe in a Supreme being at the least, and have some level of Morals and Ethics.

What do you expect from the descendants of wealthy warrior priests anyways?
