Every year, lots of dove/pigeon hunters hunt off of Clayton Rd. (near where I live). There are tons of birds, and a lot of them appear to shoot from the road itself. Their parked vehicles line the road.
It's pretty cool to hear the volleys of shots in the morning hours during dove season! Head south on 347. Turn right on Clayton Rd. (exactly one mile before 347 ends at state highway 84). There are lots of fields around this general area, and lots of doves/pigeons. http://tinyurl.com/5crume |
