the season opens monday would like to know if anyone out here knows of a good place to hunt thats away from the city and has a decent dove population please let me know

Every year, lots of dove/pigeon hunters hunt off of Clayton Rd. (near where I live). There are tons of birds, and a lot of them appear to shoot from the road itself. Their parked vehicles line the road.

It's pretty cool to hear the volleys of shots in the morning hours during dove season!

Head south on 347. Turn right on Clayton Rd. (exactly one mile before 347 ends at state highway 84). There are lots of fields around this general area, and lots of doves/pigeons.

LOL! My kids would get so sick of all the pigeons (aka doves) in our yard when we would seed our lawn in the fall. They would grab their bb gun and have some target practice.

They are speical land. You have to have a friend. Like mine

But I go south / east it is good too.
