i emailed mr woolington about the poor status of the common area landscaping.  I was basically asking if AAA had been "checked up on" lately.

This was his reply

"Thanks for the heads up on this.  Just to give you an update, we have hired a new landscape company starting September 1.  They will be doing a complete evaluation on the irrigation system and the entire landscaping in general.  I will be working with them over the next few months to make any necessary modifications or repairs that are needed to get the system working properly.  They will not be able to get all of the problem areas corrected right away but will work their way thru the community as quickly as possible.  Thanks again for your input and please contact me if you have any further questions.  "

So, I case you were curious

but we've had AAA for the last few years, so maybe the new company starting Sept 1 can get their you-know-what together and get us some green grass and pruned bushes

Before triple A there was another company who had promised the same thing that triple A promised. Its like they are salespeople selling freezers to eskimos'. Who is to say that the prop mgmt doesn't get sold on some load of crap from the next landscape company that the landscape company in existance " doesn't water enough", and all. What form of experience does Mr. Woolington have to distinguish from one company to the next? In other words, I come to him with a plan that needs to get sold so that my company, so to speak, gets the contract for the one hundred K plus. So I say to Mr. Woolington that triple A doesn't water enough, takes too many breaks, drives too fast on the riding mower that all the blades of grass do not get cut evenly, etc., etc. Maybe the mgmt. co. needs to hire an independent consultant who could care less about contracts or referral fees. A consultant that will test the soil for fertilization, and all the rest of the crap associated with it. I don't think it is a watering problem at all, except where you can tell the sprinklers are busted; maybe it is a fertilization problem. Heck maybe its a combination of everything. Being sold on someone elses mistakes is the wrong way to do business, in my mind. Maybe this guy is the one who will get things done right, however the track record from previous companies proves the other way.

...and another thing... ever' look at Maricopa Meadows before and after H & N took over? What a difference a little extra soil and fertilization does...
