I live back here in trailside and this a real quite community. It is nice to see the empty lots bing filled in, but my view of south mountin has been taken away.

Anyway, with summer nearing end and cooler weather around the corner, I wanted to know if people get out and socialize? It seems like most people get home after work and lock themselves in the house, myself included. Once the weather cools off I will be out a lot more with my dogs, and hope to meet more of my neighbors. Maybe a Halloween Block party of something. I don't have kids, but I always love a party!

Now that it is a little cooler than a month ago, I have been walking the neighborhood with my daughter in the mornings. I still sweat like a pig but it is a good way to get out there and do something.

I agree though, I never see anyone else doing much now.

I can't wait for it to cool off and be able to get outside with the neighbors again. in the Spring we all established great neighobrly relationships and then when i started getting hot, we never saw eachother again except for the wave Hi as you are shutting your garage door behind you. plus it wears the kids out so that they don't fight you when its bed time!

Well, as you all are walking...walk over to Cactus Cove & say hello!

Actually, I should be doing some walking myself! Thanks for the gentle motivation.....

I was out last night, but not tonight with those storm clouds. I am not sure of the lay out of homestead and where each community is located, execpt for trailside of course. Thanks for the invite, I need to find some new walking routes.

I actually changed my walk a little, just to make it longer. I have decided to walk all the way from DR Horton and Porter to Porter and Smith Enke, then Smith Enke and DR Horton back to where I started. From my front door back to my front door it is exactly 2.5 miles.

It is a hard walk through the dirt pathway though. I also walk in the mornings around 715-730am and get home right around 8-815am.

Not that any of you care...but it makes me feel good!  =)

My fiance and I need to start jogging...I haven't worked out in months and I now never have energy, lol. I usually go out to DR Horton Dr., around the lake, and back to my development, but I really want to go out to DR Horton and Porter, then to Porter and Smith Enke, and back home. That is my goal, lol.

It still is too hot for my guys out to walk that far, and I am not sure I could get around that much either! I need to work up to that. With a daily commute to down town and back, it is hard to muster up the energy to get out in the evening.
