To the neighbors with barking dogs.  Please be respectful and shut your dogs up especially after 10 pm.  It is not nice and it shows signs that you do not care about the community

Are you joking! Desert Cedars or Desert C (our ghetto name) is filled with dog owners that allow their dogs to bark ongoing during the day and night. There is no consideration in this community.  Call Brian Duncan with the City; he'll take care of your problem.

If it's the same dog, (oh, wait...), the same two dogs,(oh,wait...) the same three dogs, with nothing but dirt and weeds in their backyard,(ah-oh...here comes the rain..make that mud..) with no food, (lot's of water..) and knocking on the door get's no responce, we found tossing food over the fence tends to quiet them temporarily..I wish we had some recourse, and will contact Mr. Duncan tomorrow am.

We must be neighbors, four dogs, dirt, barking, etc, etc. It's pretty much a waste of time calling Mr. Duncan, first contacted him last November and several times since, and the four dogs are still there barking.

Wow.  It's been a long time since I've been on here and now I see why.  I'm not sure if you are talking about my dogs, but if you are let me clear up a few facts. The reason we have dirt (no weeds) in our backyard is because we do not have the $1,200 dollars it takes to put in Sod.  My husband tried to till, fertalize, plant, etc the old fashioned way but it never grew.  Untill 2 months ago I have been the main support of my family because my husband has been ill  off and on and only recently was able to go to work at a good job.  I get up at 4:10 AM and I am at work at my corporate office by 5AM.  I then work until 6PM 7 days a week, and it's tough but,I'm just happy the good Lord has provided me with the same job for 22 years. However my daughter is out of school every day by 3 and of course off during the summer so the dogs are not left out in the heat day and night.  As a matter of fact one of the rescued dogs came to us on one of the hottest days of the year almost dying as he limped up our driveway to our house from who knows where.  Now my dogs (IF these are my dogs you are talking about have 15 gallons every day of water.  They are in the house when it's hot and what you don't see is the large industrial fan my husband hung up for them on their patio.  Food?  They get plenty of food, have you taken a good look at them?  I'd say they are on the heavy side.  The reason you don't see the food is because we feed them INSIDE first because we mix canned with dry and don't want flies or maggots.  They are brought into our house EVERY night by 9PM.  I know because thats when I go to bed.

Do they bark?  Yes when someone comes walking up to our home or when I or my husband or our daughter comes home.  However  we bought the high pitched siren because a certain neighbor  compained to Officer Duncan.  My husband went to ALL of our surrounding neighbors the very next day and apologized and gave them his cell and asked them to please call him if they  heard our dogs barking.  We then bought the citronella collars and put them on our dogs, but we still got a complaint from the same neighbor. Since I have a week off now I am going tomorrow to buy electronic bark collars, which will be somewhere around $200.00 but I'm not complaining because contrary to the very negative and judgemental verbiage on this website, I love my pets.  They give me much joy in my  life,  and as far as the inside of my house sir, it's spotless.   I may mop the floors 3 times a week, but it's clean.  And as soon as I can afford it I am going to buy some sisso trees which should help also for your visual discomfort. Have a blessed day.

Sorry, but your dogs bark many times during the day when you're away. So now that the City of Maricopa is prosecuting you, you're going to buy the collars you promised to get last November and it's everyone's fault but yours.

With all due respect  I never said we were guilty.  You sound very acrimonious, and I'm sorry you feel that way.  I've been an Arizonan all of my life and Arizonans try to get along.  You say "prosecute" as if it were a bad word.  My great Aunt was the first Woman Supreme Court Justice in the State of Arizona as was her father.  My uncle was a well known name around the state and rallied for the Native Americans, and had a law firm in Phoenix when he was alive, and his 4 sons (my cousins) are all lawyers, 3 in Arizona and 1 is a prosecutor in San Diego.  So I am not unfamiliar with the laws of this beautiful state.  I guess what I'm trying to say is that I will abide by whatever the city decides to do because I believe in the law and I believe in Arizonans.  Please know  I do not feel anger towards you only saddened by how you went about it  and if I could have bought the collars sooner I would have.  And by the way, you play the piano beautifully. We hear it quite often
