IMHO...no, they seem to be worse!  I called them to find out if the lake has been treated for mosquitos and to see if the community is going to get fogged as we have been in the past....had to leave a message two weeks ago, no response yet!  The community greenbelts still look like c**p and what's with the awful looking things growing in the flowerbed at the entranceways?  Looks like weeds!

Doesn't the board depict the outcome?

Yes, it does....I believe that is part of the problem.....I hear that one (new) member is stirring things up quite a bit!  He is money hungry and I think he may be a loaded gun. He is the one who wants these letters sent and as many fines implemented as possible. He has been seen walking around the streets with a camera and notepad......Jerk!

I am all for following the rules.  BUT COME ON!!!  Does this guy seriously not have anything better to do?  He must be out all times of the night to come up with some of these violations.  Good grief!

It seems that some people think these leters are a good thing...I guess I am just not used to this HOA thing...never had it back east, and it would have never made it either. I am all for keeping the community looking nice, but to this extreme is ridiculous.

Conforming to a community with an HOA after not having had to previously is most definitely a shock to the system. There's more good than bad to an HOA, IMO, and it's easy to take stuff personally. I've been there too.

I called them again today about the bug issue. They seem to not understand what to do. I don't know how the previous company treated the area but it worked good and quickly. I hope they do something soon. My husband wants me to mail our bugs in an envelope to the HOA. LOL!! Our kitchen table is covered every morning with the little I believe laced wing flies. ewww

Do you have their number handy?  I cant find it.  I will call them too. The more people that call, the better!!!  I can't take the bugs..they are all over the counters and tabletop.....and we keep everything closed up. I remember last year we had the landscapers (I think) do the fogging...I will call my friend (the one on the board that no longer posts here.....) She should be able to help too.

I called the mgmt co this am and Michael was in a meeting, but the young lady I spoke with told me that they are starting the fogging process, but were only able to do the lake area. She did not know why. I told her that in the past, they did the whole community, as the whole community was the problem, not just the lake area.
She said that she did have a few other homeowners call with this concern also.
I told her that I was speaking on the behalf of around 20-30 other homeowners on my street. (she said she would let Michael know that this is a major problem in the community). I also said that the lake needs to be treated, (she had no idea if that was going to happen), and that there are many light bullbs burned out throughout the community (she didn't know about that either).
I asked also that if any of these requests were not going to be taken care of, would someone please notify me, so that I can have it brought up for discussion at the next HOA meeting.

Let's see what happens....!

Any other concerns? Let me know, and I will be more than happy to look into it.

There is a meeting tomorrow night next to the DMV. I will be there.

I will start a new thread with the exact time and directions.
