I should be moving in sometime in the next few weeks. VA and DRHorton need to work out the price/appraisal. I am moving into Trailside. Anything major I should know or look out for? This forum seems to be fairly quite compared to the rest of them. Hopefully that is a good sign.

Be very very picky on your walk through and don't sign off until all the repairs are done. It can be a real pain getting people in to do reapairs after you have moved in.

There are several homes already built that you can probably get a really good deal on. Won't hurt anyhting to make a lower offer too!

I am in Trailside as well. Slowly working on meeting all the neighbors so far I know about 8 of them. With only 3 streets I hope we will have a close nit neighborhood and do some block parties.

Sounds like a plan. I am going to be on Hayden. It seems quiet out there, which is a good thing. I was getting a bit concerned about the grafitti and vandalism talk, but I have seen anything bad the few times I have been out there.

I had my walkthrough last Tuesday, I did not find anything major, and the CS guy from DRH, Jerry I think his name was, seemed to be a good guy and on top of things.

Welcome to Maricopa,

My suggestion is that you hire a home inspector to find the hidden things that the majority of the homes seem to have wrong and the Supt. can't seem to find while building your home.

The business listing to the left should have a few, if not PM me and I can recommend someone that is very qualified.

Once you move in, don't leave your trash can on the street or out front of your home, keep the weeds and dead plants removed, and check your cc&r's before parking on the street.

I hope after you move in you will get involved in the community. So many nice, friendly people in Maricopa.
