Hi

Do you all have a Block Watch Committee yet? If you do, who is the chairperson - I'd like to get in touch with her or him!

Thanks for your help! <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

Hi All
Kimberly Hunter here --Secretary HOA Board for Cobblestone Farms.
The Block Watch is headed up by Lisa Counters.
We had an EXCELLENT meeting yesterday in which a police officer came to our "Town Hall" at 6pm and did an hour presentation for the Block Watch program.
He had some great ideas.
Lisa will be getting something together ASAP to get this started.
She and I will probably be working together as I am on the Social Committee to have a Cobblestone Farms get together in which our community can meet the police.
We are going to coordinate to get them to come and do childrens fingerprinting and car etchings (they etch the VIN # on your car window)---ALL FREE SERVICES!!!!!
The police officer suggested the month of November for these activities.
In addition, we might be doing some fundraisers to help the officers purchase bicycles so they can do bike patrols. Other communities have already done this.
Each bike costs approx $800.
All in all it was a GREAT meeting last night.
Watch for Lisa to post in this forum and watch for fliers on your doors to get the Block Watch and other programs kicked off.

Kimberly

I couldn't make the meeting yesterday due to work but it sounds like it went well. I would be interested in signing up for block watch or the social committee.
