Alert | There are more parks being built but they don't go up over night. You can read all about the new one coming on line on the cityofmaricopa.net. All this information is available to everyone. Take a look at what our city has going on you'll be surprised to learn that there's a lot going on.
The Parks & Rec people are doing an awesome job getting the parks up as fast as they can. If I recall correctly they take about 3 years to complete them.
I know that they are currently working on another on park on 33 acres that was donated to the city in the Eagle Shadow subdivision.
There is also a smaller park that will be coming on line before that also. | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Hmm, will you take action and speak to the council and let them know your desires?

FYI, The city council does not single handedly fix (nor cause) every problem in this city. Marty does a great job getting things done as quickly as humanly possible. There is much in the works right now.
The real problem is that some people are never happy and do not understand govt. well enough to know who to be unhappy with. Not every band-wagon is worth jumping on. But, as always, you do have the right to your OPINION.

Alert | | Sorry for the late post but after reading delby's post I now know why people think we're snobs. To answer your question delby there IS no cheapees. Everyone who lives in this community paid good money for their homes and ameneties. Lets just say that where I live is directly effected by the parking lot and green belt mentioned in this post. I could care less if people want to use our parks. However, I don't think it's fair to have to pay out of my pocket for things destroyed by people from other communities. If you know who or were part of the people that destroyed things within our neighborhood, I hope you had the common dignity to repair the items yourself instead of making hard working neighbors pay via HOA due. BTW they went up again!!!!! What the hell are we getting in return?????

Alert | I can tell you what we aren't getting. "Cobblestone Farms is a premier community with lush landscaping and superior ammenities.......".
Did I miss the lush landscaping while driving in?
While I love our community, it is very discouraging that our grass is now dead and there is no beautiful winter grass in it's place. I won't get on my soap box, but this is far from lush landscaping. I am well aware of the "issues" that are out there and in our community, but seriously we need to keep our community up. I am sure I am not the only one that is bothered by the fact that are dues went up again and we aren't seeing "our money" being spent in some of the ways that it should. Additionally, if you read the CF HOA Budget Narrative that was also attached it mentions under Supplies, Winter Rye Seed for Common Areas, Why is it in the narrative and not happening?!

Alert | | I would love to hear their reason as to why it's not growing. I see nice green rye grass growing in the green areas along the sidewalks when I bring my kids to school over in RED. So I know it can be done.

Alert | I have heard many reasons why they didn't plant winter rye grass. The irrigation system isn't/wasn't working properly thus the grass would have not looked good, the COST was too high, (UH, get more bids),etc., I don't believe that this should be left as a board decision. We all pay good money for this community and why I understand that "Winter grass" isn't everyone's cup of tea, that is neither here nor there. What are we saying to potential residents that are considering buying a home here? Doesn't really look like we keep things up. I am so appauled by the grass right now. I have a property listed in this community that received an HOA violation letter for the grass and yard in far better condition than that of our current common areas. I just don't understand! | | Michelle Mazzola

Alert | I'm with you Michelle. I am dissapointed in the landscaping right now. I see the landscaping trucks here everyday, and i can't figure out why it looks so bad. The rye in my front yard looks pretty good, and we aren't professionals! I, too, am miffed about the increase. In the 2 years we've lived here, I think its gone up 3 or 4 times. I bought here, as opposed to elsewhere, for a reason! | | If you can't spot the loser, it might be you
