Let's see here...what have I posted about this construction project?

2/21 12:20 PM: "This is visible from Senita PH III by the wash close to Honeycutt Rd, Note the large structure in the backyard! It's was approved by the HOA before the HOA elections and construction suddenly started just before elections. Can we all build stuff like this???"

2/22 9:36 AM: "How interesting that you should know anything about my backyard? You must either be my next door neighbor, a Pulte employee, or part of my landscape company. Because nobody can see anything in my backyard(except for the tops of a few trees) from the street or from behind my house(as opposed to the pictures I posted). Which are you dfl?"

2/22 9:39 AM: "I believe it is a waterslide/waterfall. I personally have not seen anything that big before in somebodies backyard. It might be the start of the new Magic Mountain that is rumored for Maricopa . I've already given my input and opinions to the powers that be. I just thought others might like to see it in case the HOA ever says no because of a height requirement."

At no time do I state in this forum that your backyard is an eyesore JustTheMom. Yes, I must assume you are the owner of this property since you only have 2 posts and they are about this thread JustTheMom. Talk about hiding behind the internet.....

1). I observed the construction of a project that is NOT in compliance with this communitie's CC&Rs.
2). I had no desire to meet or discuss the project with the owner since it was already underway.
3). Since it was already underway I shared my feelings about it with the HOA and verified that it was an approved project.
4). I verified with the city that the project complied with safety and building codes. It does, however the building permit had expired and the final inspection was also late.
5). I posted 2 pictures here and let people make their own opinions about it.
6). The project is approved, legal, and in progress. Good for you. I hope you enjoy it.

Hopefully you will maintain it in a presentable fashion for years to come.

And everybody remember to get involved and stay involved with our HOA. I believe there is a very good chance that we can keep things under control once WE have our opinions part of the decision making process.

Yeah that's a tuff one.  It looks pretty bad from the road.  I'm sure it looks pretty cool from their backyard though.  I know I wouldn't want to look at that everyday.  I'd say if you wanted something that big you should have bought 3 acres just 5 min down the maricopa hwy.  I...being the nice guy that I am...do consider my neighbors when I put stuff up.  But who knows...maybe their neighbors are cool with it.  It also sounds like they went through all the nessecary approvals to get this done so how can you argue with that. 

I'll bring my torch and pitch fork to the next board meeting.

Based on the last posters description I'm thinking I would rather see this and know someone in our community is actually IMPROVING their home then all these darn weeds and visual evidence everywhere that people just don't care! We can't complain about everything.
