Alert | | Anyone know what happened with the one story home in Senita 1? It backs Maricopa/Casa Grande highway. All the windows and doors appear to be boarded up. | | Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

Alert | | This actually does not surprise me. Sad. Last year towards the north-west part of Senita I there was a borded up two story DR Horton home. The neighbors stated it was kids in the neighborhood. Not sure who is responsible. I just wish it would stop. I am very concerned for the vacant houses around me. I am so concerned that last year after someone tried breaking into our house we had a security system installed and also put a few cameras around the outside of our home that continuously record. I wish more neighbors could and would install these outdoor cameras. One of our cameras actually caught the person who broke into the neighbors car last November. The cameras are a gem!

Alert | | Wow momx3, I never thought of outside cameras. Could you give me a little info? What company? How much a month?

Alert | | Appears to be boarded up from the outside. Plywood all over everything. | | Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

Alert | | You can purchase these cameras wireless or not at any store like Fry's Electronics for around $100 dollars each. The cameras that cost less usually give you lesser quality. Dont know about you but I want the camera to have good quality at night, so spend the extra money. Two should be good, start out with one if thats all you can afford. We had an extra 13" tv and most everyone has a vcr. Invest in 5-10 VHS tapes and your in business. Im sure there are more high-tech ways to go about this, but your talking to a chick here... LOL. Imagine if all our neighbors invested a couple hundred dollars and actually used the cameras and recorded. I love having the cameras.

Alert | | Didnt ask HOA about the cameras because they are small enough they fit under the ledge of the roof of the house so they are invisble when you drive by. The cameras point down onto my yard and driveway and into the street and also catches cars driving by. But you literally have to walk up to my house and know what your looking for to see the cameras. Remember the more money you spend on the camera the better they work at night. High tech and neat little cameras.

Alert | | I talked to the guy who boarded up the house and he is currently going through his insurance to get his house fixed. He doesn't live there and the house was vandalized so he boarded it up so no other kids can go in there and vandalize it even further. I believe he did contact the HOA to inform them of what he is doing. Obviously the boards have to come off and it sounds like they will soon.

Alert | | It looks like we have quit a few kids running around without any parents watching them. I bought a house on Kristal and i had to replace 6 windows due to beebee guns. I also noticed that the kids that walk home from maricopa high like to jump the walls of the maricopa casa grande highway and walk through the yards!! We need lights at our playgrounds, they seem to be the meeting place for our teens after dark!!

Alert | | The boards on the house are not keeping anyone out! I was walking my dog a week or 2 ago and seen a teenager sneek in the house, went straight in the front door. We reported it to the police. The police went to check it out and discovered several windows are missing, there's graffitti in the garage and they found evidence of mariijuana in the house, not to mention they said the house has been vandalized inside. They are suspecting it has something to do with gangs. They told me to dail 911 anytime I see anyone go in there so they can put the cuffs on them. Since I don't live within seeing distance it has been hard to keep an eye on it. I know they are still using it because the cops left the blinds up in the front window and now they are back down. If anyone else can keep an eye open maybe we can run these kids out of there! Can't believe the parents don't have a clue!
