Alert | | Is anyone else having issues with their bathroom sinks draining extremely slow? There is no air hole in the back of the sink and the stopper being up isn't doing much to speed up the draining. The plumber said it was a manufacturer problem and had nothing to do with the plumbing. DR Horton says the sinks were approved for use and that's all they had to say. Anybody getting better answers than I am?

Alert | | I am having the same problem. In the master bath we have double sinks, one drains fine, the other takes forever. I was going to have my husband take the drain thingy...for lack of a better name out of the bottom of the sink and see if it was clogged but we have only been here two mionths so I don't see how it could be. I think they just used cheap sinks!!

Alert | | I'm having the same problems in the master bath and the other upstairs bath. Both have double sinks and one drains fine and the other is really slow. If anyone gets any help for this problem, please let me know | | "Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. Alert | | Our's drain slow too. We didnt have a Home Inspection until our year end and our inspector guy said the same thing that Wfrank mentioned, about the air hole not being in the back. I asked a plumber when he came and basically he said we would have to replace the sinks to something better......

Alert | Wait until you have to have a dishwasher repaired in a Horton house. It can't be done without removing the entire counter top (at least in ours). Evidently the "qualified" people they hired to do the installation trapped the electric right under the counter top. The dishwasher cannot be pulled out for repairs. Now our Horton house is over a year old, and it looks like we're in for some really good times with that crappily-built house. I personally don't think any of the houses were built well in this town - builders had only one thing in mind - making a HUGE profit; city and county had only one thing in mind - cram as many houses in as you can cuz we need the tax money.
Wonder if the builders ever read these threads... | | Proud conservatives happily living on our acreage in the beautiful mountains of Hidden Valley with no HOA.

Alert | | I doubt they read the threads considering they don't even pay attention to their own customer service survey. I filled my survey out stating that the day I moved into the house it was not clean...and I understand there will be dust but it's pretty bad when there is dried urine on a toilet I have never used!!! Even after that, they never bothered to call and follow up. I have gone to the sales office and they are super friendly until they find out I have already purchased and they won't be getting a commisiion off of me, then their attutude changes and they can't seem to hurry me out of there fast enough.

Alert | I would say our Pulte home was built well. They take more time in construction, and I personally think it shows.
As for customer service, our customer service rep has been here 4-5 times, and we have been here just over 3 weeks. Everytime I find something that isn't up to the quality we expected, they send someone within the week, if not that day! We have only stopped back by the sales office once, but they are still very friendly and appreicative that we are customers, even though it is closed.
Not trying to say we are better than you for buying Pulte, just giving you our experience to try to brighten up this thread

Alert | | We have both a Pulte and a Horton, both in Senita. I would have to say that the Pulte was maybe one step above Horton. Horton's landscaping was much better than Pulte's though. Pulte sent inside lot information to the landscaper, although we have a corner lot. So we have a wide open side yard with no landscaping whatsoever. Pulte refuses to make it right. Pulte also put in crummy garage doors. I love the i-drives (sp?) that Horton uses. | | Proud conservatives happily living on our acreage in the beautiful mountains of Hidden Valley with no HOA.

Alert | | remove the drain stopper & the water will drain out quickly... then screw the stopper back in but leave it very loose, don't twist it all the way down... it will drain out a little faster... sometimes I just leave it off completely.

On a corner lot you have a visibility triangle that the builders try and keep open. Pulte's landscaping company also sends you your landscaping design before they install so if you didn't like the way it was designed, you should have made the corrections before install. The side of your lot also has a public utility easement 8' in from the road and the HOA is responsble for maintaining between your side fence and the street. The builders don't build the houses in Maricopa any different than they do in any other city. Some builders do pay atention to these boards. Why do you think you have crummy garage doors?
