To whomever found it necessary to spray paint on our wall outside, Thank you very much! It has made an ever lasting impression for me....

And I guess its safe to assume that you are the same person who threw your Jack in the Box trash over the wall into our backyard...sorry I wasnt that hungry!

BUT in all serious-ness, I do want to say THANK YOU to the person who called it in to the police and to whomever covered it up! We had been away on our wedding/honeymoon and had no idea...

OMG...that's horrible!! Hopefully once the neighborhood gets more populated and people start keep porch lights on things like this won't happen.

Not only that, but possibly start our own block watch, I'm not too familiar with this program, but I sure do want our community to be safe. I like to have a well informed neighbors/neighborhood.

I don't much about organizing a block watch either but my husband's idea would probably involve walking up and down the street with a baseball bat all night!!! We're in California right now and if anything happens to the house while we're gone, he's gonna go nuts!! <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/crazy.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Crazy' align='absmiddle'>

Sounds like effective advertising. What you see is what you get? This makes me think of the first Naked Gun movie. They have a wall with sensors in it so when it gets spray painted the wall spray paints the people right back. Good stuff.

A bat? I don't own a bat. How about creating a neighborhood mob, maybe that will scare the pests.

We called the HOA and apparently Marciopa has people who come and cover it up. He advised that they have an account with ACE to get paint to cover it.

I am going to see about getting a Block Watch.....I think it would be better to get a grip on it sooner than later

I like the MOB idea........LOL

Hi, the people who clean it up would be me and another of your fellow Senitans (Senita-ians?) We've volunteered to cover/clean up graffiti as it appears. I've set up an email address for reporting Senita graffiti.

If you see any graffiti, drop a note to:

graffiti@orbitelcom.com

with an address or directions and one of us will cover it up. The HOA is covering the cost of the paint and I'm working on getting the color codes to match the different color walls.

Potato Skin is the Senita Wall color and it is cataloged at ACE hardware. Volunteering to cover up tags is great.

This is great to hear that we have a our own squad of volunteers to clear the graffitti. What I'm wondering is why our HOA Rep. don't hire sometime to do this, we are paying our fees for something, right? I believe our HOA should do some sort of rewards for the volunteers.

All of us need to be proactive in paying attention around our neighborhoods and get your kids involve too.

I see the 'little loves' are at it again. I just sptrayed over graffiti on the ellectric box at Maricopa Groves and Maricopa... Right next to the DB Horton offices.
It looks like the vandals also hit the walls on Edison just east of the 347.
I'll send this to graffiti@orbitelcom.com

Repeat after me "I do not live in South Central. I do NOT live in South Central"

I've been asked to notify the City or Police before covering graffiti. We can expedite the process by having those who notice the vandalism first contact the Code Enforcement Officer at 520-568-9098 ext. 256 or email him at bduncan@cityofmaricopa.net
We'll see how responsive the city is... if they drag their feet we'll document it ourselves, send a copy to them, and cover without waiting.
Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
Please read below. Brian Duncan is the Code Enforcement Officer for Maricopa. Please either call him, 520-568-9098 ext. 256 or email him, bduncan@cityofmaricopa.net when graffiti is noticed before painting over it. After Brian has taken the pictures then you may paint over it.
Thank you,

Kriss,
I went by there a little while ago and noticed the graffiti is gone. In the future can we make sure that either I or the Maricopa Police Dept. are notified before they paint over it that way we can get pictures first.
