Alert | | I doubt that would happen within the next ten years... MAybe as more businesses get here and tax revenue goes up... but I doubt it | | All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. --Edmund Burke

Alert | i have not heard of more train traffic nor have i heard of a sound wall.
- a sound wall would be nice though. but i dont think that will happen in the near future. since maricopa has other things to deal with presently. new walmart going in and construction around there, and building a bridge for the honneycut wash. personaly i dont mind the train noise. I live in senita phase 3.
I have heard that someone is trying to get a ordinance or something passed so that the trains don't sound the horn when they cross the intercection.
- on that note i have also heard that they have to sound the horn when they come to intersections for safety reasons. | | Money isn't everything. Everyone just thinks it is...

Alert | | I believe they have to sound the horn for safety reasons. There have been nights where I hear that horn blow 5-10 times. I don't mind the horn (I'm also in Senita 3) but I do think that is excessive. Maybe they can limit it to 2-3 times?

Alert | | I believe that once the construction on the track expansion is finished, there will be a lot less horns. Its a safety thing, and when there is equipment near the tracks, they have to blow it more. If they can build an overpass or underpass at 347, that would cut down on the horns as well, not to mention the added safety benefit. | | Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

Alert | | I enjoy the sounds of the trains as they pass thru, even the horns.

Alert | I don't mind them that much either. Only really hear them when we are outside. I think a sound wall would most bounce the sound off of the walls, making the noise louder. Some landscaping and large trees would be nice, but I don't see the railroad or city making that type of investment anytime soon. | | Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

Alert | | Don't forget about the casinos, and the horrors of legal gambling! You know, they really ought to put train tracks, dairy farms, and casinos in rural areas of the state, rather in than in a city. Can I sue someone?

Alert | | I like the sound of the trains too. Don't mind the cows either. It's like horns and sirens in the "big city" ... part of the flavor.
