I ws told that although Butterfield is within walking distance, Senita 1 has to use Saddleback. Is this true?

I had not heard that. In fact, before your post, I had never heard of Saddleback. Our kid is going to Butterfield (2nd grade) this year. And I am rediculously excited about being able to ride our bikes or walk there.

According to the form that my son brought home from school last year, Senita I and II will go to Butterfield. Senita III will go to Saddleback.

It's a brand new school so I doubt if there is any information on the new teachers? Maybe I am wrong though. Good luck.

The Butterfield staff had a get together yesterday.  Everyone was energetic and ready to get started.  The Principal and Assistant Principal are awesome people.  I have a very good feeling about Butterfield...home of the bobcats.....grrrrrr!

We are in Senita I and our kids are going to Butterfield. The only problem I see with that is that on all the maps that Ive seen about it is there is no crosswalk scheduled to be put in across Honeycutt. Does anyone have any info that they are putting one in? I really don't like the fact that a bunch of kids will be crossing that road without help.

There should be a traffic light going up at Donithan and Honeycutt. I thought it was to be up before school starts. I am sure there will be a crossing guard out there...I hope it is the police doing the crossing and not just a pedestrian.

I once seen them put up a trafic light in 48 hours so there is still hope by Aug 11.

Donithan?? But the entrance to Senita is a block away. I don't understand the thought involved. Maricopa Groves is a major street with traffic from VRED and Senita going to CGH. It should have a light before the school zone.

Who makes these decisions?

I don't know anything about a light going in, but Donithan and Maricopa Groves are basically the same street. I think cactus flower is talking about the same spot you are at the entrance of Senita.

You're right! I'm confusing it with Duncan Drive.

Can you belive that there going to bus across the street to senita instead of putting up a light or getting a cross guard! Sounds like a.d.o.t. and the city of maricopa need to get together. That intersection is to busy not to have something there, we don't need an accident to happen to get lights there do we??

They are putting up a light on that corner, I would have thought it would have been up by now but you know how slow things like that can go...If I have time this week I will call and see who is in charge of it, I have no idea where to start. Also there is going to be a light at the entrance to the villages.
