Someone in Senita has bright yellow lightbulbs in their coach lights as well as in their front hardscaping. I thankfully don't have to look at it and to each their own, but I feel bad for their neighbors who do have to look at it every evening.

What are the rules with regard to colored lights ie. not white? I cannot find my HOA book anywhere.

Thanks.

There is a house a few streets over that has a yellow and a blue light in their coach lights. This looks real bad.

yerah i seen that house, all i can think of is it keeps the bugs away but why a blue light? yellow lights is an eye catcher but a blue light is not something i would want to look at all the time.

my porch light is a bug light (yellow) but my coach lights are white.
i also am curios to know if there are color variance statement in the hoa rules.

and to whom ever answers the question. and asks "why not read the rules and find out for yourself"
my answer is. "I AM LAZY!! AND WANT YOU TO ANSWER IT FOR ME" since i cant google the answer on the internet.

Where is the house located?  Are you talking about the yellow bug lights or a different color of bulb?

Page 16, 3.24  Lights.  No spotlights, flood lights or other high intensity lighting shall be placed or utilized upon any Lot that in any manner will allow light to be directed or reflected unreasonably upon any other Lot.

Don't know if that helps you, but that's all I could find about lighting, which makes me wonder why someone would have been cited for too many lights in their yard but I didn't find it in the CCnRs.  Maybe I missed it.

Yes, that's really my name

Its actually on Raynon, just off Toya. I believe they were put up around the time the Suns were trying a playoff run. That I believe was the reason- Suns colors. I think most of us know that ended months ago, but I guess not all of us know.

These are two different houses. The house on Raynon is mine. I have read the rules and I can't find anything that says I can't have colored lights. The yellow is actually an orange light. None of the people that live on my street have said anything negative about them. To each their own.

That was me who was cited for too many lights. There's nothing in the CC&R's about the number of lights you're allowed so we're fighting the violation letter. I'll let you know how it turns out when we hear something back.

My bad.  I figured they were for the Suns since they went up while the Suns were in the playoffs.

If your coach lights are Bronco colors, then there needs to be an architectural request form submitted and approval given. If they are Suns colors, then everything is OK. Honestly, you are supposed to fill out an architectural request to modify the colors on your coach lights. If the exterior of your house is different than what the builder delivered to you (even lights) - you need an architectural request form filled out and approved by the architectural committee. No joke.

...so I take it when the holidays come the houses are all supposed to look blah?  I would have no intentions of pulling a "Clark Griswald" but colors during the holidays do look nice when in good taste and being considerate of your neighbors.

...so the HOA rules are lenient during these timeframes I take it?  I have no intention of pulling a "Griswald" however I do like a little holiday spirit...after all, we don't have snow here but we can still have the lights.
