well the killer deal is past tense and the incident happened elsewhere. As for sex offenders...I hate to say it...they are EVERYWHERE...and it doesn't take much to get on that list these days. As far as I'm concerned we can't protect our children from everything but we can educate them and constantly enforce proper values while giving them the tools to deal with potential problems they would encounter in life.

The ones you have to look out for are the ones that haven't been caught yet...which you are right...they are everywhere.

I have 9 kids...and trust me...they know exactly how to look out for each other as well...

hmmmm...now that I think about it I'm making enough of an impact that I should get to cross out the population number and rewrite it...hehehe

9 kids...wow.  I'm assuming that your wife stays home...lol...I would hate to see that daycare bill   I'm glad that you are taking the time to teach your children about proper values...I'm feel very strong about that.  There are too many kids around here that don't have that.  Here is a short story...I was at the school bus stop with my daughter and there are two children (brothers) that go to that bus stop.  One of the brothers is quiet, nice, and doesn't cause any problems.  The other one is a little nightmare.  He throws rocks at cars passing, run out into the street when cars are comming and throw rocks into the backyard of the home that backs up to the bus stop.  I used to tell him everyday not to do something or another...even called the school and complained since that is considered "school property" when they are at they bus stop.  LOL...once he threw a rock at a car passing by and the car came to a stop, backed up, and the lady in the car yelled her butt off at this boy.  Where are the parents?  No where to be found...

well I have 8 kids from a previous marriage and have custody of all of them.  I have one with my 2nd wife who works from home so it works out pretty good.  My kids are usually well-behaved but if they get out of line, we step in to keep incidents like the one you mentioned from happening repeatedly.  On the behavior side, we were all eating at a Denny's in North Phoenix a few months ago when suddenly the watiress told us the check had been covered by someone else...who had just left.  I caught a glimpse of the car that was leaving (Mercedes of course) and my wife had commented she had seen a gal with her teenage son at a table not far from ours and according to the waitress, the customer thought my kids were so well-behaved, that she covered our check but wanted to do so anonymously.  I was completely surprised to say the least but maybe it was a credit to the fact my kids were minding me and are fast understanding how to behave in public.

I couldn't agree more.  This is one of the reasons I didn't move to Casa Grande...granted they have more population than we do...there are a LOT more sex offenders.  I'm crazy like that, and do check it every month...just incase there is someone new and happens to be a neighbor of mine...you can never be too sure...

well let's just hope there is some hope of being reformed.  I'd be just as worried if I had a convicted felon living next to me but I'd like to see that list as well.

I would love a pool in Senita. Indoor for safty and vandals etc. I taught swimming years ago because I thought it was necessary for children to know how to swim, especially in a state where there are so many pools and a few lakes and the highest boat per capita in the U.S. My children, grandchildren and now my great grandchildren all learned to swin by the time they were 18 mos. old. There are always pros and cons to any subject, you make work the things that will help the area. I usually feel a apologetic for living in Senita. More like the poor step child because of the lack of amenities. The "hoods" that occupy our parks in the evenings with the "hey, get outta our park", attitude would be displaced. Hopefully they would have to go play in traffic. If all else fails shuttle service to the Y in Awatukee could help.
