Alert | The before and after photos look great. That is a bit scary about the landscapers we currently employ......
Who ultimately hired them in the first place? Was this the builder decision that employed them, Odgen, or someone else???
I am all for a local landscaper and any other local company, especially ones that are committeed to our community like H&N. It seems like they are very involved in this community, from the charity golf tourney to the other things already mentioned. | | Ronald Reagan, 1992 convention Speech, "...we see all that rhetorical smoke, billowing out from the Democrats, well ladies and gentlemen, I'd follow the example of their nominee. Don't inhale.
This fellow they've nominated claims he's the new Thomas Jefferson. Well, let me tell you something. I knew Thomas Jefferson. He was a friend of mine. And governor, you're no Thomas Jefferson.

Alert | Ogden hired the current landscaper, through a bidding process, after the community was turned over to them by the builder.
Lansdcape will be the primary discussion point at the May 7th meeting. Prepare for a long one. I'm bringing snacks

Alert | H&N cleaned at least 3 properties by me today and they look 100% better. Looking forward to the rest of the properties getting cleaned in the near future.
The current landscaper was hired by Ogden & Associates. The current landscaper should be at our next HOA meeting, so I am looking forward to asking him numerous questions. I think our current landscaper has done a great job of maintaining our property, but as Graham noted, we are keeping our options open. I am giong to take another line from Graham's e-mail and say that we as an HOA board are trying to look out for the best interests of the community.

Alert | I"m glad someone is doing something about the neighborhood. my property value prolly went down with all those weeds.
thank you for fixing the neglected yards. makes me a sad panda to know that people dont care about what there home looks like.
i mean the people that still live there (i see cars in driveways of them pics). not the ones that got foreclosed on (wich is also sad but another topic all together).
Thanks again for cleaning up the area... | | Money isn't everything. Everyone just thinks it is...

Alert | I was told they are cleaning 6 properties a day. That averages 11 days. Then they will return to the 1st property, hand pick any new weeds that poked through, and spray pre-emergent on all 66 properties in one day. I believe that puts completion of the project on or about May 6th. -Graham

Dear What.
The common areas in the Meadows do look rediculous. I completely agree. Do you know why that is? It's because they couldn't afford to pay for overseeding. Which, by the way runs near $45,000. You know why they didn't overseed? Because they are running out of money. That's why they had a community cleanup rather than pay a landscaper.
ForensicUnit.............Where exactly did you get this info from. I never really thought it was your style to slam others to make yourself look better in your peers eyes. I highly recommend you get your info double checked before you start pointing fingers. Being a HOA board member, you should know better than that. I normally enjoy reading your posts but your way out of line on this one. H & N Landscaping thank you for setting the record straight.

Alert | Smiling,
That's not a slam on anyone. Please don't add negative conentations to statements that aren't. I am not pointing fingers at anyone. In fact, I'm HIGHLY confused by your post. Fact of the matter is, communities and HOA's are going broke. They are running out of money. And when you run out of money, you have to cut corners. Drive through Desert Cedars and look over there. That is a beatiful community, with amazing homes in it. But right now, there are weeds EVERYWHERE. In the common areas, play grounds, and even growing through the cracks in the sidewalks and in the streets.
I'm not pointing fingers. Who the do you think I'm pointing at??? I spent a day driving through every community I thought of out here, specifically to look at landscape care and maintenance. And when I asked, community members, I was told that Maricopa Meadows didn't pay to overseed, and Desert Cedars is cutting down their landscape maintenance to once a month.
If you have stements contradicting that, why not just tell me? H&N owners told me that MM did not overseed. If you live in MM, and you think I've somehow insulted your family by saying your HOA is running out of money, please re-read my post. I am making a statement of fact. HOA's are not pulling in the revenue they once were, and therefor, are cutting corners on services.
As far as"slamming others to make myslef look better," "pointing fingers," and being "way out of line?" I think you read far more into what I wrote. And again, I wont accept fault for a reader trying put excess emotion into simple typed words.
Signing off by name, as always, -Graham

Alert | Wifi, that's the age old question. We've discussed it on here before, so I'll give you the readers digest: 1 - Letter 2 - Bill 3 - Lien on Property 4 - Small Claims Court 5 - Collections
As always, there is no way to 100% guarantee that we will ever get money from anyway. But that goes with any company. You could buy your house, live in it for 6 months before being forcibly removed, and, technically, you could never have to pay a dime.
But, we do what we are legally allowed to. And this is one of the reasons that someof the Board Members, and I, are looking into a less expensive landscaper.

Alert | | What is the status on the 66 houses. If they have finished, Kriss should have plenty of new ones for them. Still lots of trailer trash landscaping.
