Alert | For those of you in the KHOV area, I was wondering what broadband/dsl service you have. I would like to get it set up at my home and the Qwest site is telling me that they don't offer that service in our area. Help! Thanks...

Alert | | Thats strange because we have Qwest DSL and we are in Alterra/Khov on Woody Rd. We've had it since we moved in last December. I got it in a bundle package with my cable tv and my local phone. It was alot cheaper that way. Maybe they just didn't update their site?

Alert | | Qwest is available in Alterra South (Roadrunner Trails). Perhaps what they meant was they have to install more cable pairs to be able to take on new customers. That was the case when we moved here last year and we had to wait over a month to get service because of that problem.

Alert | | Hm... I will have to give them a call, but at least I can say that one person in my area has it. Thanks for responding!

Alert | | I'm in Alterra and Qwest said the same thing to me, so I went with Maricopa Broadband. They have a very fast 9.0 mbps connection for about $50 a month. I'm very happy with them so far.

Alert | | I live in Alterra South and Qwest DSL is not available. Qwest VDSL (Qwest Choice) is available and was horrible when I tried it out. I am currently on Maricopa Broadband and have no problem maxing out the 9mbps connection. | | Your signature was in violation of the Forum Terms of Use and has been removed.

Alert | | I guess technically it is call VDSL but it works just as well for me. Like I said, I got it in a bundle with tv and phone for a really good price. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>I mean like 1/2 the price the others are paying.!

Alert | | Thanks for all of the input. I am leaning toward Maricopa Broadband since we already have DirecTV and we don't need a home phone.
