Is there an HOA meeting this Thursday 8/23? Time and Place? Where do we get an agenda prior to the meeting?

Yes! We are meeting tomorrow at 6pm at Maricopa Elementary (in the library). Agendas are available at the meeting.
Hope to see you there!

Just a question, why are the agendas available at the meeting? Did people recieve a copy of the agenda before the meeting? If so, I didn't get one lol!

I can't go, I can never go, my hubby works evenings and I don't have a sitter, in fact, I am "the sitter", so I can't expect someone else to watch my 3, plus 3 more lol!

Let me know what the "agenda's" were and how it turned out!

Why do you have the meeting at 6PM. Given what is occurring on 347 how would you expect residents who work in Phoenix area ever to appear ? Would not 6:30 or 7PM allow more residents to be able to attend or do you prefer to keep it a secret by setting a time that most residents would have to take off work just to attend ?

Our meeting times were set over the summer and were times that the board was able to meet all together. I think some of the reason we meet at 6 is because the meetings (general session & executive session put together) normally run about 3 hours. In order for the board members to get home prior to midnight, a 6pm start time was adopted.
I'm sure this is something that the board could address at the next meeting, however. I think the board is very flexible. They want residents and homeowners to come to the meetings and voice their opinion. Without homeowners opinions, the board has to make tough decisions without input which is not a fun position to be put in.
Our next meeting is September 27th at 6pm at the elementary school. Specific room is still TBD.
Our management company is AAM. Our community manager is Jeanne Tonkinson.
Meeting agendas are available at each meeting and minutes (once approved) will be available via our NEW website!!! (www.alterrahoa.com) - it is still under construction so please be patient. I believe that agenda's are not made until right before our meeting so that the information can be up-to-date as possible and so that we can add agenda items as necessary. I'm sure if you email Jeanne a day or two before the meeting she could send you an agenda if it has been prepared.

Ok, I think I've answered all the questions so far... let me know if there is something else that I can help with! If I don't know the answer, I'm happy to attempt to find the answer! <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>
