I use AT&T for my cellphone provide and I can't get any bars inside my house to save my life. But if I go outside I get 2-3 bars tops. Anyone else have any problems with their cell phone carriers?

I have an I-phone and like I said I have no problems with my service.....maybe you just have more interference in your area than mine. The money spent on my I-phone is the best money ever spent....ok that might be a slight exaggeration but it does keep me organized and updated with work and home stuff. Now if I could only get it to open my garage door I would be a very happy customer........lol

I love the phone, but only having 1 bar while inside the house is horrible.

We have had four different phones from AT&T. We get no service in our house either. We are changing carriers.

I don't think it's a option but we need a tower down by us. I think the closest cell phone tower is the one by Maricopa Broadband.

Lol Thats funny cuz my gf is leaving Sprint because she can't get any service in Alterra, and she is going with AT&t. I guess it's just hit or miss with cellphones. The company is good it's just their over the phone customer service that blows, thats why I go to the store in awhatukee for any issues there is a guy there I talk to named Anton nice cool guy and always helpul.

Fot several years, Consumer Reports surveys of their members have ranked AT&T last in nearly every metropolitan area nationwide.

My wife & I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile 2 years ago and discovered how cell phones are supposed to work!  We do not have a land line to our home, so our cell phones are it!  We live in the villages near Honeycutt & Donathan  and our cell phones send and receive calls in any room inside our home as well as a wired phone.  We've used them with no problem in our vehicle all over the Phoenix metropolitan area.  When we're driving around in the country, we have to get far off the beaten path or be in the mountains before we lose our signal.

I suggest you go to their website at the URL below and enter your address to determine how well T-Mobile will work for you in your home.

Thanks for the info CactusRob, I really want to switch carriers but my wife keeps bringing up the point of how much money we spent on 2 i-phones.

Sorry, I didn't catch that important point when I read your posts.   I don't know why AT&T doesn't spend about half the money they spend on advertising their network on actually building a better one!   But I guess one could say that about all cell service providers.  I'm sure they could all be better.

My husband and I have Verizon and started having problems with our phones recently (we live in Desert Passage). I spoke with customer service and they told me to hit *228 send to update my phone every 30 days. Apparently Verizon updates their system (i.e.: adding/deleting cell phone towers, applications, etc.). This might help all cell phone users as your carrier might do the same thing. I advise to look into that before you cancel service and pay hundreds of dollars!!
