Alert | Yeah for real.
I have experienced some really bad HOA's in my lifetime. Ours is a good one. I am not, nor have I been part of the HOA in any way other than as a homeowner. I am aware of what they have done and how well they operate, especially about graffiti issues.
I also know what is to have someone constantly complaining without any clue of what is going on or how things work. It is apparent that you wouldn't know a good HOA from a bad one. You probably just say things just to post but your comment...
"I hate to complain, but unfortunately we all have to pay for the lack of accountability that our HOA takes with putting our money to work properly. Someone has a nice salary.
... is completely out of line and un-called for. You should apologize. These are real people who are your nieghbors that are doing a good job for no income.
BTW>>>Are you the lady who keeps complaining about the soccer kids playing on the grass? You sound like her.

Alert | My gripes with the landscapers are:
A) They cut the grass too short. This is a bit of laziness on their part. It is cut so short and that is why it is always brown and not very attractive. Who else has noticed that you can see the dirt like half an inch below the grassline? The grass should be allowed to grow quite a bit longer for optimal health.
B) They always water my back wall until it soaks through. I know this will end up costing me money someday when the wall continues to be weakened.

Alert | Denna,
I hear and see your frustrations too. H&N had a company come out the perform a soil sample and our soil is very bad. The BOD is taking steps necessary to fix that problem. With the recent outbreak of PARVO, its a good thing we didnt start anything now. The grass will get shorter with the scalping that needs to be done, but I truly believe that in the spring we will have nice lush green grass. They know the problem and now we are making steps to correct. If ever you see overwatering, please contact Deborah at dhyrb@pdsaz.com. She can bring it to H&N's attention so they can alter if needed.
Hope that helps. Just know your concerns arent falling on deaf ears.

Alert | | I will try to be more optimistic.. Thanks to all who donate their time to help out. I have never had to deal with an HOA before moving to AZ so maybe this is all new to me. Everywhere else I lived had common area's that were cared for by the city. My major complaint with the Shredded Trash was resolved promptly... so thanks again | | | |

Alert | So. SideCubFan,
Thanks for being understanding. I had never dealt with HOAs either and thought the best way to understand them is to get involved. Boy, I didnt realize EVERYTHING that went into it...lol
Just know that nothing falls on deaf ears. I peruse this forum regularily, some even tell me too much, but I think that knowing people are listening and at the very least, attempting to help, is satisfying.
Bring your concerns here or you can email me at cki557@gmail.com.
Take Care and look forward to meeting you at the next meeting....
