Tiernan was definitely late...it was very obvious when his 9lb 4 ounce little body came out...he didn't even look like a newborn!! My Dr was even shocked...said next time we'll induce a couple of weeks early   Good luck with your baby, I hope the delivery goes well!

Wow, nice healthy baby. My dr told me yesterday that mine is already an 8 ib-er. My 1st was two weeks late and 8lb 9 oz. Im hoping for not such a big one this time butlooks like he will give my 1st a run for his money. Everyone keeps telling me Im gonna have a toddler and not a baby. Hopefully we'll see everyone on the 4th!!!

Proud Momma of 2 beautiful boys!!!

I know that after 2 years if this hasn't been resolved, expect your house payment to go up at least $250 month. I know now that KB has not filed anything with FEMA. Can you say Class Action Lawsuit? We may all need to stick together and fight them. I cannot afford that payment. It's like another carpayment, forever. We will never be able to sell.

We called Nate at the Sales office last week. He said that they are meeting with FEMA again in about 3 weeks and they need to go over all of the stuff they did to prevent floods all over again. He mentioned that right now because of what happened in Iowa, FEMA is reluctant but that the legal department is determined to get the flood insurance removed because of what was told to all of us when we moved in. He actually gave us the name and phone number for someone in the Legal department to contact for more information.
Dave Fowler - KB Legal Department 602-567-4800.
We haven't called yet but are planning on it. If anyone beats us to it, please let me know what they say. I am SO over this whole situation. Unfortunately certain homes in the subdivision pay more for flood insurance than others, ours being one of them. We already pay an additional $300 a month on top of our mortgage payment it's so high, we really can't afford anything else. They better make something happen or they will have A LOT of unhappy people on their backs and they know that!

Just spoke with Dave - returned my call promptly and a nice guy.

Without going into too much detail...they are making good progress and he is fairly confident that this will be taken care of before the end of the year. If they hit a snag, he will send out a status update to everyone affected.

If anyone wants more information I'd suggest calling Dave at the number above as opposed to relying on anything said by our lovely sales office.

I know it sucks, hopefully we're almost free from mandatory flood insurance in the desert...

Yeeeaahhhh....we talked to Dave a long time ago and nothing happened. I definitely think that we all need to come together if this isn't resolved soon. We were told that it would be taken care of within two months of us moving in...that was over a year ago. We've been told over and over that it's being taken care of yet nothing has happened. Luckily, we had an awesome insurance agent who worked out a deal where KB paid for our first two years of flood insurance (because we were kinda sure they were full of crap). We're in the start of our second year and are really scared to think about it not being resolved before the year is up. We absolutely cannot afford to pay the insane price of flood insurance.
