The pool was heated last time I went in late Dec.
Thought I would go for a swim this past weekend and it was FREEZING. What gives? This would be a great time of the year to be able to use the pool. Do they only heat it for a month or 2? Screw KB and the HOA<img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

Chris! Thanks for the heads up... I was at the playground with my son the other day and the kids there said it was heated, so I was going to take a swim this weekend - so I appreciate the heads up!!!! Freaking pool. I thought I would get some type of work out. ;-(

here's the number for our HOA #623 877 1396

if all of us call them complaining they will take care of it, remember we pay for that service, or send them an email.

I actually did call today. Whoever answered said they did not know why it was no longer heated but someone would get back to me. Not surprisingly I have not heard back, but maybe if they get a few more calls next week, they'll get the message that this is the best time of the eyar for the pool to be heated! Thanks for the #

It has looked pretty inviting some days with the steam rolling off it whilel it was cold. I am not going to take my chances though but I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can finally go swimming to relieve all this pressure from carrying this baby.

We checked the water on 4/7 & still cold like ice. Called the HOA & they stated that they were waiting for the weather to be in the mid 60's at night but that the water should be warm in a couple of days or so. Maybe it's their way of keeping our HOA fees down.....right???.........ya.......sure.........

It was supposed to be turned on this week. I'm so sick of this crap. Why in god's name would you HEAT the pool as it gets WARMER outside? Shouldn't it be heated while it's still cool at night and warming up during the day? Makes NO sense. They told me it was to be heated from the end of March/beginning of April until mid to late October. That makes NO sense.

They also told me that it's because nobody wants to use it right now and that we'd all complain if they heated it in the winter (as opposed to summer) .... because we might have to pay $5 a month more in our HOA fees. *rolleyes*

I'd rather pay that $5/mo towards heating our pool instead of it going towards building that damn bridge on honeycutt over that "dip" ... since they haven't done anything over there anyway. Grrrr..... My kids are begging to go swimming! And they happen to like the dip just as it is. HA!

Keep our HOA fees down? that's funny... We have a pool, so that's a plus - but like everyone else, I want to USE the pool we are "paying for." It's supposed to be warmer this weekend, I make take my son for a swim if it's not TOO cold! Maybe we'll see you out there!

Has anyone went in the pool lately? We went last week and there was a bunch of flies floating on the surface and chillin' on the bottom. I guess you just can't get away from them out here!

we have been going daily and have noticed the flies but not in the pool. It felt really good this past week. The only problem I have with the pool are the people from other communities coming and going as they please. Not to mention some have been really rude.

Its not bad enough that the senita-people use everyone else's pool and splash pad, they couuld at least be courteous.

Are any of the NON residents (which pisses me off I might add) getting drunk and pooring their left over beer in the pool this year?  I saw some people doing that last year and grrrrr ... I was told the only way anything can be done is if we got their address and then contacted the association.  WTH?

I swear, I hate people like that.  No respect for anyone or anything.

I noticed they did put surrounds around the bars you push in to open the gates to leave ... too bad they don't keep people from getting in.  My own hubby can still reach over and open it that way.  What's keeping non-paying people out?  I think it should be a key only entry and exit.  That would help a bit.

The bathrooms should be key only too. When we last went the toliet was covered with flies and someone(a female) left their bathing suit and towel in there. Not only that, the stench was horrible. It was like someone crapped and didn't clean it up. Could explain why the bathing suit was left. GROSS!!!

I also agree with the key only entry and exit. That is how our pool at the Chandler townhomes we lived in were. Would work wonders!!
