Alert | | I have been down Lucera Ln. in the Sterling section three times, twice on foot and once in my car All three times this little yapper "ankle biter" type dog has come out on nowhere and chased my son, barking, well yapping the whole time. Figured he just got once, but when it happened on another day, and then decided to dart out in front of car a different day......well, thats a problem. If you live on Lucera and know who owns the dog....PLEASE tell them to bring that dog IN the house. He/she obviously knows how to get out from the yard. Although I am not a fan of barking dogs at all hours of the night, which I do have behind me, I do not wish having a dog be road kill do to a dog owners neglect of their animal.

Alert | Somtimes a gentle reminder from the Pinal County Animal Care & Control office is necessary. They're a good group and have the animals best interest in mind.

Alert | Haha, I know who the people are and found one of their scared dogs on my doorstep a couple weeks ago.
Last night I was walking down Lucera and a little dog came out barking and tried to bite at my shoe; for a split second I had the image of the little bastard flying through the air by means of foot propulsion, but just felt sorry for it and walked away instead. The people obviously don't care about their dogs escaping or they'd do something about it.
If I see them outside their gate again, which for me will be the fifth time, I'll use Kryz's info and call animal control

Alert | Has anyone given the dog's owner(s) a courtesy notification that their dog is sneaking out? Some little yappers can be sneaky, running under the gate and then back inside before their owners ever miss them.
One of mine was doing just that, until a neighbor rang the doorbell to let me know. My dog was already in the house and in my arms when I answered the door.
Needless to say, I blocked the opening under the gate. It took a couple of times before I found a barrier good enough to keep my ankle biter in the yard, but a few cinder blocks and river rocks finally did the trick.
Maybe this dog owner truly doesn't know how sneaky his or her little furry maniac can be.

Alert | I too have had the urge to kick it about 5 or 6 times... I usually walk that way with my son in the evenings and that little rat hasn't gotten close to us but it makes a lot of noise and always puts me on edge. I figured that with one good swift one he'd leave us alone so, he better just work on keeping his distance

Alert | | Wow, is that little guy STILL roaming free in the evenings? I am rather surprised myself that he hasn't been used as a football yet. I will need to take a stroll down Lucera tonight with my boys to see if the little "yapper" pup is still doing his thing...

Alert | | Don't blame the dog, blame the owner.
