Does anyone else have a problem with all the parking that is done along the lake and Allen Stevens Pkway and Tara Lane?  I support the local youth sports and even encourage it but I think by parking along the road is a safety hazard.  I have had to stop many times as kids and parents darted into the roads and it gets real tight when other cars are driving by too.

Anyway we could get no parking signs there or how can we get people to park on the other side of the lake in the proper areas to park?  I don't want people getting tickets when it can be an easy fix.

There are no parking signs posted 150 feet back from the intersection of Porter Road and Allan Stephens Parkway. Cops have been issuing tickets to those parked in that zone. One of the parents on my soccer team got one in the spring.

I think the added parking spaces in the park expansion will help but it is legal to park on the side of that street. My opinion is that parking be allowed on one side. But your question is best directed at the Community Services Director for the City.

OMG I absolutely hate how they park like that!  I have come so close to hitting people so many times.  At the chili cook off, my hubby and I walked by the booth with all the police officers and asked them about the parking there, and they said it was perfectly fine for them to do so.  IT's sooooo frustrating.  Sometimes I can't even get out of my driveway!
