1. What is your source for this?

2. What is the breakdown, by percentage, of prison population by race?

3. Would you use the breakdown by percentage, of prison population by race to make the same inferences about races that you and some others are using the above for in making inferences about Christian religiosity / atheism and their effects in producing prison populations?

Why or why not?

I just want to make sure that you don't lose my questions in the shuffle and that you have a chance to address my questions, 8DaysDazed.

I'll simplify it for you: there are highly disproportionate numbers of certain racial groups in the prison population, like the disparity between professed Christians and atheists in the numbers you give. Would it be appropriate to draw the same conclusions about the merits/virtues of these racial groups that you appear to draw between Christianity and atheism?

Why or why not?

Google it, it is easy to find.

I have no idea, nor do I care.  Why do you?

no I would not, race is not an issue for me.

unknown, and inconsequential to me....obviously not to you.

Not a big deal, but it's telling that you are so gleeful to use alleged statistics about the make-up of prison populations to make fun of Christianity's "failures," but won't apply that same standard to races if statistics show similar disparity.

Not that anyone should read that into the stats, but I just wanted to point out the double standard and selective use of statistics.

the report didn't offer any details on their sex, age, color preference, height, weight, dominant hand, favorite cartoon, car color, # of teeth, or hairstyle either.

bottome line is that for every 1atheist in jail, there are 375 christians.

Yes, but what about color of teeth?

I'll make it even easier.

"For some groups, the incarceration numbers are especially startling," the report said. "While one in 30 men between the ages of 20 and 34 is behind bars, for black males in that age group the figure is one in nine."

The racial disparity for women also is stark. One of every 355 white women aged 35 to 39 is behind bars, compared with one of every 100 black women in that age group.

What would be your bottom line, given the above (same report)? Would you use this to mock blacks in comparison to whites, the same way you mock nominal Christians in comparison to atheists?
