If a man, truly, with all his heart believes Jesus is the Lord and savior...but in his free time, he molests children; would this be the type of man that goes to hell??

Yes or No...and what religion/denomination you are.

Yes,

1Jn 3:9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.

There is a difference between habitually committing a sin and committing a sin once.

There are going to be many who proclaim they believe in Christ, but by their deeds they deny him. That's all over the New Testament if you want references.

I am a Reformed Baptist, but being a Reformed Baptist or part of any other denomination is NOT what gets somebody to heaven.

Yeah, it's true- He allowed the fall of man/
But He used it now to exalt the Lamb/
The Lord, who's wise, permits existence of sin/
to be glorified in His forgiveness to men/

I am of no religion/denomination...
NEZ isn’t this the question that most members of the Catholic Church are asking themselves right now? How can a "man of god" preach to me on Sunday, give me my communion, listen to my sins and then molest my brother?
I think its obvious that the Catholic Church thinks these men will go to heaven, Heck they even retire them and put them in retirement centers. They don’t boot them out of the church and say your are bad. You are going to hell.
Seems to me that most religions include a loop hole. You can be bad and sin but as long as you repent in the end god or Jesus or whatever will forgive you. The Mormons even take it a step further and baptize the dead so they can get to heaven... So even after your dead they are still working the loop hole.

The concept by the Catholics of Purgatory and Baptism for the dead by the Mormons is Unbiblical.

Heb 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,

The Bible doesn't say,

"And just as it is appointed for man to die once,SPEND SOME TIME IN PURGATORY and after that comes judgment,"

You are judged for your life on earth and then the judgment, there is nothing in between.

In addition to what EEE said, some people simply do not have control due to a medical condition, such as a brain disorder. Why shouldn't they have the chance? It simply amazes me that people are willing to condemn an entire class of people.

Are you capable of reading? I said "in addition" to what EEE said. That means I answered everything you asked for.

I'm also capable of thinking on my own.

It's yes or no, and what denomination you are. So you are reformed baptist too??

I'd like to give everyone the oppurtunity to answer the question. Not get all preachy. There are a few religions that I would like to hear the answer from, and learn more...Protestantism is not one of them.

How do you get to learn more if its a yes or no?

NEZ will you be following up with more questions?

I just want to get it straight for everyone wanting to participate in your Yes or No game.

Yes I am capable of reading most of the time, I consider myself a non denominational Christian. Which I guess just means I follow the teachings of the bible and worship only Christ, not saints, mothers of Christ, the dead, the pope or anything like that.

Whew. Having said all that, I believe that God has no tolerance for those who harm children. Not to say he has tolerance for rapist. But there's a difference when you say they can be asked for forgiveness and it will be wiped away from their 'sin list'. I dont' necessarily think so. I'm sure being the powerful being that he is, God knows if your heart is pure therefore would know whether or not when you ask for forgivenss if you mean it. Make any sense?

I'm specifically interested in Orthodox Jews, Russian Orthodox, Gnostics, Buddhists and Islam.

That seems kine of long to put in the title.

If you were of those faiths...I'd have follow up questions.

I think he will do some Burn time.

Non-denominational

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

LVMADONNA: Sinbad, take out the trash.
Sinbad: OK, I'll do it sometime.
LVMADONNA: Thanks

So what you really just said, was, "I'm never taking out the trash." ?????????????
