I just wanted to say that I am an ex mormon who ran for dear life when I was old enough to. I hold nothing against people and the way they choose to follow their OWN paths, as do I respect others in their
search for the way that makes them happy within. I go to a firm local church and am very satisfied with the joy this church brings to my heart. I dont have to pay any of my earnings and or show proof that I did. I dont have to wear magical underwear or dress up in a three piece suit if I dont want to. My kids hang around with mormons and I dont despise them nor correct them, for that is not Christian. However, I checked the mail today and recieved a letter from the church wishing me a Happy Holiday. To me that is harrassment considering I have asked them on several occasions to leave us alone. So we dont hear from them for around a year or so and bing! Harrassment! So I have asked to be removed from the list up in
Salt Lake, and here in the valley and it seems that the rest of my life I will have to be persucuted with the
mormon empire spitting their crap my way here and there. LEAVE ME OUT OF YOUR MAILING LIST PLEASE!

Hello All,

I am a former Moron I mean Mormon...Sorry that is just a little joke for myself. I don't really think Mormons are Morons. If you can't laugh at urself than u have an issue. Anyways, I was born into the Mormon church and baptised as well. I also went on youth temple trips and did baptisms for the dead....A little strange don't u think. I have no ill will towards mormons or any religion for that matter. I think people are people anywhere u go. And no one is immune from being Human. I don't believe that u you will be damned or go to hell for being a Human Being and making mistakes. This is the part I could not swallow. I am a sinner and so is everyone else. I merely think the that conformed religions become lost in translation. When being so concerned with the after life or worshiping a god becomes more important than being humane to others around u and accepting people for who they are, you have lost the battle. God is not hateful or discriminating, He is loving and forgiving and we will always be his children no matter what. So for me my relationship with god is personal and not to be scrutinized by political religious views based in black and white. There are many shades inbetween. It is simply our choice to see them or to be narrowminded and tunnelvisioned.

Please, don't take this as an attack, it isn't meant that way.

On what basis do you believe that? I'm curious when people bring up the mistranslation argument, what they used to come to that conclusion.

Dear Jason,

I do not take offense to anyones questions or comments. We all have opinions just like you know what. LOL. I would say I formed my opinion upon my experiences much like everyone else. My observations and my extensive life experience in this particular area. I don't claim to be all knowing because I am not.

When I say "LOST IN TRANSLATION" I do not mean defining the Bible or other religious literature.
Defining the Bible is dependant upon each individuals understanding of it or translation of it. One person will never grasp the same meaning as the next person who reads the same passage.

Here is what Lost in translation means to me...

"When being so concerned with the after life or worshiping a god becomes more important than being humane to others around u and accepting people for who they are, you have lost the battle."

Living in the now and improving the now is as important to God as following his direction.
I believe it is part of his direction.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I try to live by these words everyday. I am not perfect and fall short 70 percent of the time.

I believe we all have a path, and we control which direction it goes. I think rules set in stone fail to serve everyone. If you don't follow exactly to the teachings judgement is placed. This is not humane. Of course I cannot sit here and lump all people involved in conformed religion in the same pot. I hope that is clear. There are many who's knowledge is accelerated and open minded. There are many more who's knowledge is not.

What a great discussion you have going here on this thread.
