If a God figure existed and walked the earth today we would kill or imprison God under the assumption God was a lunatic.

To be God a being would have to be omnipotent. Thus, it would be impossible to kill or imprison him against his will. The fact that a person claiming to be God was killed or imprisoned would in itself prove him false and yes, perhaps a lunatic.

Bb - I am not a biblical scholar but it is my understanding that Jesus did not claim to be God. Also,was his death not part of the plan for redemption? I invite those with more knowledge of the subject to jump into the discussion.
