I didn't think they taught that specific sins meant you would definitely go to hell.

Catholic theology around Sin is very complex and dangerous. Thus the need for a preist to keep us grounded. See John 20:21-23 and 1 Timothy 3:14-16

To be honest I have'nt been the model Catholic lately.

No one is a perfect Catholic. Not even the pope is even close to it. GJPII went to confession weekly.

Noel:

So I have read most of your posts. Out of curiosity, I went to your profile and started reading the posts that you have written. So far, I am not done yet, but those that I have read so far, mention god in every post but one so far.

So does this mean you have voids? If so, you have a lot of them....

You are not in trouble for these silly questions as a matter of fact the reason you are invoking the name of God is because you feel a void where He should be.

There is one sin mentioned in the new testiment that may not apply to the catholic church but it does apply to everyone. And that is Blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

I have a comment on this topic and I just have
to have my input.

In life, whatever temptations we have.... we have to fight to do
what is right in life.

Giving in to what feels
right is not always right even if a stream of
others do it too.

Some people are born with desires that are un natural and if you speak with them they will say it was not easy but they succeeded in overcoming it. It is our duty as a human....to fight those things.

But most important Jesus wanted us to love all
people no matter what they chose to do or be in
life.

Jesus came here to do God's will and I feel that if he was gay the bible scholars, priests and people of that time would have had no respect for him and you would not know of him today. He would just get lost in Sadam and Gamorah.

As it is his teachings prevail today...he truly did the will of his father. He overcame satan and his greatest gift was his teachings on love and forgiveness and how to fight putting on the whole armour of worthiness and of course what the cross means to us and how he suffered and died for our sins....we know from his teachings that satan is here to kill, steal and destroy and FOOL us into thinking what is wrong is right and vice versa.

No--- Jesus was not gay.
