Alert | My family & I are in need of your prayers. You see, I work for a major player in the mortgage industry and I am about to be laid-off from work. Yes, I too, am now a victim of greed.
I know many people who would rejoice in my suffering due to my involvement in the mortgage industry, but I can tell you that I am not familiar with loan programs since I am not a loan officer. My day-to-day work has never involved specifics on loans, so I was not wise in that area.
My family has devoted our entire lives to this organization. We even relocated to Arizona to remain employed by this company. Now, I am faced with the possibility of losing everything we have worked so hard for, including my own home.
Please know that I realize how blessed I am to be healthy, to have healthy children, and a devoted spouse, but I am really frightened at the thought of not being able to provide.
My hope is that this does not fall on deaf ears, nor hardened hearts...your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Alert | You have my sympathy. I've been laid off a couple of times and basically it sucks - no matter what the industry and cause. Be proactive - get your resume polished and start submitting it to prospective employers now. You aren't jumping ship - you are looking to continue to provide for your family. If the worst does happen, don't delay applying for unemployment. Not that that is enough to pay the bills but it will help. If needed, contact your lenders and explain the situation before you are behind. Most are willing to work with you, either reducing or deferring payments. Good Luck. Just keep telling yourself, nothing happens without a reason. Most of the time, in the end, things work out for the better.

Alert | My family will keep you in our prayers, we have been there too... Let us know if you need anything.
Also, I am good friends with the owners of a mortgage and title company in Tempe. They are actually a very reputable company and are still staying strong amidst the grief that is all around us with this industry. The reason for their strength is because they don't do bad loans and don't have loans come back on them. They provide fresh telemarketed leads daily as well. PM me for the name if you are interested in applying and I will give your info to the HR Manger. | | Life without kids, is no life at all!

DITTO. Everything happens for a reason. I was laid off from my first job - I was devastated. I hated that company, but nonetheless, I was devastated. 1.) Allow yourself a little time to grieve. You've been through a lot (especially with the move) and allow yourself the mourn the loss of the job, and be angry. 2.) Move on! - Definitely apply for unemployment. Any little bit helps. I was so embarrassed when I filed (I felt like a loser with no job), but when I received that check every week, I was grateful. PA did the whole thing online, so it was easy. I am not sure about AZ, but I would assume you can file online as well. - Get the resume out. Go to professional head hunters. Go to professional temp agencies. - I agree with talking to your lenders, as well. I actually did that will all my school loans, and that helped, a lot!
I hope it gets better, and good luck to you and your family. | | Formerly known as 'greytxracers' "My greyhound is smarter than your honor student"

Alert | Great advice here. Remember all things happen for God's good and perfect will to work. You may not see the light at the end of the tunnel yet but it's there.
Keeping you in my prayers.

Alert | Prayers are great. Just be sure to wake up early every morning and treat your unemployment as a full time job....First things first....Go straight down to the unemployment office and apply for unemployment. The sooner the better. The money you receive from them will help while you search for new employment.
Dont feel bad applying for the unemployment as that is exactly what its there for. Good luck with your search. Keep your head up and what ever you do try and remain positve.
