Isn't it ironic that the woman who drives the blue minivan with no less than 10, count them, TEN religious quotes on how perfect she is, speeds past me on 347 breaking the law? She rides bumpers, cuts you off and speeds past like she is on a much bigger mission than the rest of us. I'm from Portland Oregon, which is a pretty liberal city and we were voted the most respectful considerate drivers in the country! You can quote the bible all you want, go to church every day, and call the rest of us sinners, but if you can't respect those around you, what kind of a foundation is that for someone who has strong values and integrity? Oh, does that line stop as soon as church service is over and you step out those doors? Before you all reply back and spew your bible quotes to me, let me just say that somewhere up there God is crying in his drink on how it's all been misused and misguided! How about love thy neighbor before loving thy own trip to Costco beating Mario Andretti's best time?

The Horror! The discovery that Christians are sinners needing forgiveness--that is such a hard concept for some to understand! Better bake 'em a cake!

Are these real Stickers on cars?

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Dear BZMOM:
I apologize for the lady that you were writing about. I am sorry she is showing you such what a lousy witness she is of our loving Savior.

It goes to show that if we put a bumper sticker on our vehicle, or wear a cross, or have anything that identifies as followers of Jesus Christ we need to live what we profess at all times.

I hope you will not judge all Christians by this poor lady that I will also pray for.

May God truly bless you.

WHY do you think my hubby put a sticker on my car?....So I wouldnt have road rage!!! I have it BAD!!! It doesnt always work!!! Yesterday was a fine example of that...I was a crazy woman committing that acts I loath others do...I was DUI...Driving Under the INfluence of a sick, screaming toddler the minute we got on the 347/at Queen Creek. She never let up!! And to top it off...a disgusted teenager who couldnt understand WHY I couldnt get her to stop her screaming!!!

So my fellow Maricopians and survivors of the 347...I apologize if I in anyway shape or form cut you off, speed up behind you and slammed on my brakes only to swerve around you and cause gravel to hit your car!! Can you find it in your hearts to please forgive me?

Oh lordy, lordy! Hypocracy is the biggest cancer for any organized religion. While there are MANY good people within organized religion, it does not mean that there aren't those that are just big ole' hypocrites!! They ward off Satan with their crosses, bibles, holy water, saint staues and even their bumper stickers, then they want to call occultism (in any form) evil because it utilizes talismans and amulets! What a crock of stinky Cow Town doo doo!

Hypocracy was one of the biggest reasons I left Christianity. I couldn't find a single church (and I've tried many because it was a painful thing to realize) where it didn't blatantly exist, all the way up!

P.S. Can we get a "Spirituality" forum on here? I'm not fond of offending my neighbors and community members when I voice my opinion in "Religion" lol.

Do you mean hypocrisy? I also hate hypocrites. Unfortunately, I often fall short of my ideals so I must hate that part of myself, too.

So do Christians really ward of Satan with their jewelry and Bibles? Does that mean that if I don't tote my Bible around I'm unarmed and vulnerable?

Do they really believe that "Honk if you love Jesus" on their bumper will protect them from the evil drunk drivers? Does it activate a force field?

And does the Bible say to not speed in your motorcar? How about your donkey? Does it regulate donkeys? Does it say "Thou shall keepeth to a gentle trot"? Since most people in those days were poor and only had sandals, does it admonish against running?

I've never tossed holy water on a possessed person. I usually just end my friendship with them. It's painful at first, of course, but after a while not being vomited upon and cursed at in Aramaic, you begin to feel better.

Even most Catholics don't believe that statues have power. They simply represent people with qualities that they admire.

What kind of Christians do you know? These people are superstitious, uneducated and it seems, frightened. And you seem very inclined to embrace this as the norm.

I would not accept cookies from these people.

As for your comments being offensive, they're all twisted and inaccurate so it's easy, at least for me, to dismiss them without being upset.

Wow, can you please point me toward the Bible quote saying "thou shalt not speed?" Most likely not. Until then, try to find some other reason to complain about religious people. Oh and btw, I am pretty sure liberalism has nothing to do with how good or considerate a driver you are. I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.

I don't know who gets to "vote" on this, but from my personal experience on Portland, I'd sooner eat dog chow than choose your former hometown for the top spot in driving etiquette. I'm sure you're a fine driver, but oh my goodness, the stuff I witnessed up there was enough to turn one's stomach. It can happen anywhere, friend. From "pretty liberal" Portland to the God-fearin' 347.

I am not all that well versed in the bible but it does mention somewere that we are to obey the laws of man. Obeying the speed limit would fit right in there.

Well it doesn't say that in the Ten Commandments so obviously it isn't that important, considering the Bible says a lot of things that no one pays attention to or even understands nowadays. I never heard anything bad about speeding when I was a regular church goer, and it never occurred to me to say to myself, "wow, that person is going 75 in a 65...he must not be religious."

Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

Yeah, it's true- He allowed the fall of man/
But He used it now to exalt the Lamb/
The Lord, who's wise, permits existence of sin/
to be glorified in His forgiveness to men/

Would these quotes:

"Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. "

apply as well to those under the authority of Hitler or Stalin?
