So what do you all think now that Obama has left his church?

How would that make a difference one way or another? Realistically, how often does a politician in Washington visit there home church anyway. What does it mean for him to "leave" it. He basically said he wouldn't be attending a church that he probably hasn't attended more than once or twice anyway in the last 5 years. And by leaving his church, I don't think he meant he was changing his denomonation let alone Christianity.

He is a politician, and as such joined and maintained a relationship with an influential church that could advance his political career. When he moved to a larger stage, and the church became a detriment, he threw it under the bus. Why is anyone surprised that a politician would act like a politician?

He should stick with his church and say "F" you to everyone else. If I don't like the church someone goes to, I still give props and respect if they stand by their church and not dump it for political reasons.
