he's weighing in at 14 lbs... up almost 2 lbs in this last week!

That spot over his eye reminds me of the little rascals dog.... did I just let on how old I am???

Hey Pkat,
I am sorry did not get back to you sooner, but we have been super busy the last few days. My sister can Not take maximus as her landlord will not permit dogs in the new home. Sorry, but I do hope that you find someone to take him soon.

Let's get Maximus II adopted. Maybe we need an agressive marketing campaign. If anybody deserves a chance at a new home, it's him. If we didn't already have three boneheads, I would be right up there in line!

Sorry one Maximus in the house is enough for us.

We're working on swimming now. Ever seen a doggie paddle above water? Well not a pretty sight. He jumps in to find the ball and can't see through all the splashing.

But we love the little monster. Even if I am running out of socks, pants and shoes. =)

Umm you know, if you pick your socks, shoes and pants up off the floor and put them away the dog can't chew em (just a little trick I learned)

The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

Well, I go away a few days and what does the puppy do? Grows more! He's up to 20 pounds and still looking for a home.

Have you found him a home yet? We currently need a playmate for our dog, Dozer. If you haven't yet, please contact me asap. He's irresistable.

Well, good news. It looks like Maximus II has a new home. I just dropped his food and Medicine off with Norcal. He was all tuckered out from playing with his new brother Dozer all afternoon. This all occured just in time becausewhen I got home, there was Maximus III. No, I'm not kidding. Same guy that found Maximus II, found him trying to cross Beltline in the middle of nowhere.
I'll post pics later on another thread after his tick bath. He looks to be a Beagle/Lab mix???

NO WAY PKAT- ANOTHER ONE!? =)

Maximus (future aka Spencer, Shamus, Tyke) spent his first hour alone with Dozer while we went swimming. When I came up to check on them Maximus was sleeping like a little kitten while Dozer kept a watchful eye on him. I gave him his meds today. I use the bigger syringe hope that was the right one. We took him to the little league baseball game today and everyone complimented on how well-mannered he was. I'll keep ya posted on his progress, but i'm sure he misses you.

FYI- I met someone who's interested in a new dog. Any dog is what she said.

Geez...I miss that little guy. I'm very sad. I heard he was happy to see his foster brothers and sisters though. =(

Congratulations. He is not a hard puppy to fall inlove with. He's not afraid of water. He's an okay swimmer and will take baths.

thanks norcal, that's good to know, cuz our big dog is not a big fan of water! do you have kids? i am wondering how he does with them. i will probably take him to visit my friend and her 17 month old in the next couple days. she grew up with pit bulls and is absolutely fearless around dogs, so she is the one to acclimate him to little ones i would imagine. i am a little nervous about having a puppy in the house with nick's scheduled arrival only 7 weeks away, but after seeing the way max and joey fell in love with each other, there was no way i was going to say no. now i just need some assistance getting max and cow puppy to get along as well!

I was teaching him to sit and stay already. He's very cooperative. Stay on him with that, especially since you'll be expecting in the next coming weeks. I can help if you'd like. He should still be very familiar with me since I was his momma for 3 wks =(
