Hi all, I had my dog fixed today and he will not stop licking and nibbling at his incisions. I've got on my other dog, but she still needs it (almost healed from a cut on her ear she kept scratching at), and it's to small for the other one. Does anyone have a small or medium ecollar I could borrow for just a week? TIA

I have one you could borrow. I don't know whether it's small, med or large. It says 20 CM on it?? Let me know if you still need one, I'm in Senita.

I would love to at least take a look to see if it'll fit. PM me your phone number and I'll call you tomorrow!

If those don't work I have a "belly band" you could try.

Thanks Cheyenne! It'll fit him if he ends up needing it this week - I kept telling him no every time yesterday that he started so now he actually isn't even trying to mess with them anymore. But you never know, so I'll hang on to it for the week.

PSW - he's still marking, which is fine actually because he only does so outside, but I thought that was supposed to stop after getting fixed. Is there still 'leftover' testosterone in his system?

All dogs, even females, will "mark" over another dog's scent. It's their way of saying "I'm boss here" and much nicer then having them mounting each other all over the place.

Yes, still left over testosterone for sure. Another rescue person told me it often takes 2 or 3 months for a male dogs level to lower enough for them to stop humping. They may never stop peeing on other dogs pee though. That's instinctual.
