A bit of inconvenience but worth it in the long run. | | Senior Member Posts: 4625 Joined: Feb 2006

Alert | Reminds me of the Melathyon sprayed against the Medfly years ago. I'll be sure everything is in the house no mater how 'safe' it is. | | Let X=X

Alert | They did this last year. The doggies sulked all week, because they could not sleep outside at night.

Hold your breath? Or vacate the area, I suppose...
I remember the Malathion stuff back in the 1980's. It was eerie to be buzzed by very low-flying helicopters that flew in formation. Very Vietnam War-ish.
And after all that, they still found the MedFlies all over the place anyway. Go figure.

No, that area isn't covered, it's Porter Rd west to 347. Means Tortosa won't be sprayed. | | The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

Alert | I remember the Med Fly spraying also, I was in So Cal at the time and we had a horrid flea problem, once they sprayed--no more fleas!
As a side note, my brother-in-law is the guy that developed the method that got rid of the Med Fly, then was called back in to get rid of it again and re-educate the PHD's that messed up his plan and allowed them back in. | | The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

Alert | Didn't Dr. Dimento (sp?) do a song about the Med Fly?
I remember I got stopped at the border of Arizona and California and it took me a half hour to convince them to let me bring my Hatch chilies from NM home.
