 Alert | I took in a pitbull puppy from a coworker of my boyfriends who breeds pits. This puppy was born with a hoofed paw, and around 2-3 wks of age, his momma bit the paw off. The coworker took the puppy to the vet, and the vet suggested to put the puppy down, but they were uncomfortable with doing that, so they asked me and my boyfriend if we could take him in, and find him a home. We agreed to knowing full well that we would unlikely keep him as we already have two dogs of our own. His name is Stubby and he is about 6 months old now, current on all shots, and really really lovable. He gets along fine with dogs, cats, rodents, etc. But he does like chasing birds. He is happiest in the world when he is laying next to you sleeping. His paw or "stub" is completey healed over, and he still uses it. He is purebred, but he was also the runt of the litter so he'll probably get no bigger than 40-50 lbs. We would really like to find him a home soon, as we are leaving by the end of the week.
