Alert | When I first rec'd the call, I'll admit, I was a little skeptical. The caller seemed sure it was a bobcat. She'd already called fish & game who said "spray it w/ a hose to get it to go away!" Yeah right! It was hanging out under her car! Anyway, I called my AC&C buddy who agreed to go out to CF in the dark despite being in Maricopa picking up animals way past his shift ended. He did end up trapping her & she is indeed an adult, female bobcat! She had to be tranquilized before capture. Thanks to Dr. Villalba at MWVH who saw this kitty after hours to ensure she'd be safe & make it through the night at the shelter before a rescue could be contacted. This emaciated cat was starving & just looking for food. She most likely wandered into CF & couldn't find her way out! Poor thing. She's happily recovering nicely at a rescue & hopefully will be able to be released back into the wild when she's well enough.
Here she is: http://www.kodakgallery.com/Slideshow.jsp?mode=fromshare&Uc=o1zt7mi.atd7txxm&Uy=1ijqdx&Ux=0

Alert | | There was a news story a few months ago about a lady in Ahwatukee that had lost a rare wild cat, looked just like a bobcat. Do you think this could be it?

Alert | I love this little guy. I would love to care for this booger. My heart goes out to him/her. Wild animals are awesome and so to be respected.
Kimberly - it's awesome that your pal with AC&C was able to come over and help out. Say a big thank you when you see him next. | | The best present ever! A day at the Phoenix Zoo as a Zookeeper. Feeding the giraffs was one of the most exciting parts of the day.

Alert | Hey Kimbely, Thank you so much for the update. That was me that called you. I had a really overwhelming day, that day and then I came home to that situation. I couldn't just leave it and hope it went away. I was really concerned if it did leave that it might get hit by a car. It was really neat to see how all the neighbors came together to help her. Plus I think it was a good lesson for all of the kids to see how people can come together and help. I let all of the neighbors know the update on her. Thanks Again. The Cobblestone Bobcat Savers!!!!! :-)

Alert | | Great job with getting the cat saved! | | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!!
