We have a five month old chocolate lab and need to find a location to spay her. We looked at the AZ Humane Society but they only work Tuesday-Friday and the mobile unit provides service in the middle of the week, making it hard for us to take time off from work to do this. Not to mention locations are kinda far too. Any suggestions on where to go, or if these services are offered locally?.
Thanks,
Linda

Linda -
www.mashsite.com is having a clinic here on 11/1. Not sure if they are full or not but they will be coming back. You can also use on of the local vets in town: 568-2224 / 568-6645
You can also pick up a $50 voucher for spay/neutering at the Pinal County Animal Care & Control and they will let you know all of the vets in the Valley that accept the vouchers. I'm not 100% sure if our local vets are on board w/ that or not. I know AC&C was going to approach both of them about it recently.
If you want to go into Phoenix for low cost, here are some other options:
AZSPCA - 602-246-8280
E. Maryland Animal Hosp. (low cost) 602-279-7366
AZ Animal Welfare League 602-273-6852
North Phx Spay & Neuter Clinic - 602-787-4240

Thanks for being a responsible pet owner!

I am so thankful that you are on the forums!!!. Thanks. I requested an appointment with MASH for Nov. 10th, their Maricopa clinics were full already Nov 1st. Thank you for the input, my wonderful neighbor (Dragonlfy 913) also gave me the information for MASH. I will keep the info for future reference too.

I took my dogs to Maricopa Animal Hospital (520.568.2224) and they did a great job. (Located near chitwoods) I dropped them off in the am and they were ready to go that afternoon. One of my dogs had a FHO surgery also done there. They were great, getting me in for rechecks and answering all my questions. Thanks Dr. Anderson.
