Alert | Not an all out recall, but when Walmart pulls products, it can't be good news.

Alert | | Before long my 'abused' pooches will be eating nothing but BARF and doggie stew made just like people stew with a few changes. Seriously, I spend more time cooking for the dogs than I do my husband - he's mentioned that a time or two.

Alert | | For anyone who is so inclined, I have some good, healthy dog treat recipes. One batch makes quite a few dozen. I used to make them for my fosters when training was involved because I went through soo many and I could cut them small.

Alert | | I'll be happy to post them when I get home. The one I used most was basically a jar of meat babyfood, wheat germ and corn meal. I think there is a website that has a bunch on it too but I can't remember it.

Alert | My animals only get human grade pet food that motiors all it's suppliers very closely (They eat Wellness) for their food and treats (and some cheese and peanut butter and a bite here and there of whatever I'm eating if they ask really nicely, although all the cats have to do is walk up and smile and they get some, Kuma does NOT think that that is fair since she has to work much harder for a bite of anything that isn't dog food).
You guys must have much more energy than I do to make your own dog food/treats! There's no way I could do that (although it'd probably be less expensive)

Alert | | Tigg, It's not really that big a deal. It only takes a few minutes to mix the ingrediants, spread them on a cookie sheet and pop them in the oven. Cut them into desired size while hot and store them in the fridge since there are no preservatives. There are some recipes that are more complex, but the ones I used were simple and I only made them about once every two weeks or so. It was sooo much cheaper than buyer ready made treats and I was going through a lot with training.

Alert | | I would love to get the simple recipe for healthy dog treats I can make at home. I even have a dog bone cookie cutter.
