Alert | I'm in need of a few (maybe 4-6 people) to help w/ distribution of MASH flyers in the Maricopa Meadows subdivision. They will be incorportated w/ the monthly HOA newsletter. I'm still trying to narrow down the times that vol's are needed, but it may be as early as this Sat & Sun AM - 6-9am or starting next Mon the same time. If you are even remotely interested, please post here or send me an email or PM - kimberly@houndathome.com I am paying for the printing myself and MM HOA has agreed to add the flyers in for free if I'm able to come up w/ some volunteers. I've not been so successful w/ other Maricopa publications and/or media outlets being willing to incorporate the flyer gratis and advertising costs aren't even in the budget for this event.

Alert | Sorry! MASH - Mobile Animal Surgical Hospital. They are a VERY low cost mobile clinic that drives around the Phoenix area every weekend to do low cost spays & neuters. It has taken me almost 2 years to get them to come back to service Maricopa and if we don't have a good showing on 8/17, they won't come back which won't bode well forour stray population or help those who really need low cost altering. I'll try to bump up the previous thread about the clinic so you can check out the priciing & all that jazz.

Alert | PSW-
I am not available but would be willing to donate $20 to defer costs...Besides the scouts (who would do it for a badge) maybe some teenagers could use some $$.

Alert | Yes, I'd be glad to give a letter or certificate to whichever teenager / student needs one. Looks like Saturday from 6am - 9am is going to be the time for delivery for anyone who can help. We won't be doing the entire MM development, just a portion.

Alert | Kimberly, you can count on me and my 13yr old son. You do so much for the community, I would be more than happy to help. I was hoping to get both of my kids, but the other one has to referee a few soccer games.
Let me know all the details. It will be good exercise.

Alert | AWESOME! The more, the merrier.....and the quicker it will take us! I'll be posting details here on Friday afternoon for sure. I'm thinking that meeting at 6am on Sat. at the park on Honeycutt as you enter into MM would be the best meeting place.
For anyone who needs letters for thier kids so they can use this as a volunteer opportunity for merit badges or community service projects, please PM or email me w/ their info. so I can get letters prepared to bring that day.

Alert | Well, I'm sorry to have wasted everyones time here, but I did confirm that the MASH clinic is 100% booked up for 8/17! I guess that means that they will be adding us into their rotation! YEAH! I'm just going to use the 1600 flyers that I had printed as scrap paper since I really don't want to advertise an event that has no openings. I REALLY appreciate the offer from the Girl Scouts and families who were willing to give up their Saturday mornings for this cause. It means a great deal to me and to many other animal lovers here in the Copa.
I was having trouble coordinating things w/ the people in charge of the newsletter distribution as well, so I think this will be easier on them anyway.

Alert | | Depends on how many dogs, how many cats & how big each animal is. I'm not sure of an actual average #.
