Please everyone vote on the home page of 85239.com website. There is a poll going on right now to see how many people would be interested, and would frequent the dog park. Hopefully if enough people show interest, the city will be a little more inclined to build a rockin park to take our muttlies to. Do your pups a favor and vote!!!

Thanks,

The pups of Maricopa <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/wow.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Wow' align='absmiddle'>

I love you Chubbison !!

I personally never scroll down on the front page to ever see any of those polls. Never look at advertising either. Just go here to see what's up in our pets section. I know that others do the same, so I don't know how many hits that little poll is going to get. Hopefully a lot. This thread will help.

There was an online & paper/pencil poll last year that already went to the PRL committee, so City Council is aware of the desire to have a dog park. Unfortunately, places for children & teens is more important at this point.

Visit http://www.muttmarch.com/ and join a committee or attend the event to really help out the proposed Maricopa Dog Park.

I signed the petition.

And I'll do it again and again and again until we have a dog park!

There is plenty of land available in Tortosa. They could combine a dog park with a large city park for the kids and families. Kind of like the one in Mesa off 202/Greenfield. Chandler has a couple as well. A Dog Park would be sweet.

Marty just announced in the General catagory : The park will be located east of White/Parker Road about 2 miles east of the Farrell Road intersection.
Look for information coming out about a new 33-acre park that will likely include:

Covered Play Equipment
Splash Pad
Two Lighted Soccer Fields
DOG PARK
Two Lighted Softball Fields
One Lighted Arizona Diamondbacks Field of Dreams Field
Lighted Basketball and Sand Volleyball Courts
402 Parking Spaces
Amphitheater
Trails
Maintenance Building
T-Ball & Coach Pitch Baseball Field
25,000 Square Foot Skate Park
Outdoor Roller Hockey Rink
The project is about 3 years to completion.

I voted for it.. I have 2 doggies at home that would love to get out when it cools down so the master can stand walking them outside.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.
