Alert | My husband found two small long-haired, black and white dogs in RED where Braden and Rio Lobo meet. Looked like they had been out for a little while. One is smaller than the other. They look like lhasa apsos.
Please call my cell phone if they might be yours. (586)-995-0892 Nicole

Alert | Thanks for taking them in. Please call both vets 568-6645 & 568-2224 as well as Pinal County Animal Care & Control 520-866-7600 to give found pet reports. Either vet can scan for a microchip as well.

Alert | | Don't post a picture - you want whoever owns these dogs to have to describe them. You don't want the wrong person claiming that they are the owners.

Alert | | I really don't want to turn them over to AC&C, and we have logistical issues because we have a toddler and two very large dogs. We're not even sure we can bring them in the house. Any suggestions?

Alert | If you don't feel comfortable bringing them in the house, if your yard is secure you can let them hang out there with plenty of cold water (stick some ice in it to keep it cold longer) and some food. At least they are safe and secure, which is far better than out on the streets where all sorts of things can happen to them.
The lost dog that I have here right now, I can't let in the house because of my cats, so she's chilllin' on my back patio in the shade right now. She'd rather be inside, but at least she's safe and getting some food and plenty of water.
Did you get them over to the vet to be scanned for microchips? I think Maricopa Wells closes pretty soon since it's Saturday. Neither of the vets in town are open tomorrow.
Sadly, they won't last long at AC&C, so they're probably better off haning out in the shade in your yard than they would be at AC&C.

Alert | They're enjoying the yard right now...... I won't go the AC&C route. That wouldn't end well. I think they'll be fine. Like you said, they are off the street, out of harms way and getting food and water. We'll post some signs too......hopefully we can find they're people.
I think the vet is closed...I'll double check. I'd love it if they were chipped!!!

Alert | Another woman in RED that was just reunited with her dog took these two in until their family can be located. If you think they might be yours.....still call my cell and I'll get ahold of her.
UPDATE: The larger of the two turned out to be a boy, and the smaller is a girl. They could be shitzus (sp?) as well. They are VERY friendly. I really hope they find their way home.....
