I'm happy to be able to post that Jimmy is home! He's been gone many days and has crossed 347 & Smith Enke, but Jimmy is now home - found across the street from Acacia Crossings on 238. He's a little dirtier & a little skinnier, but home! The sight of Jimmy jumping into his owners arms and the two of them hugging brough tears to my eyes!

Wow! Did someone find him and take him in or was he just spotted while driving?

Hopefully, this story will give others hope!

I saw him running early in the AM on Friday.
Called the owners to tell the location because he would NOT come to me.
They were both at work but said they'd look when back in Maricopa. About an hour after I
returned home, a women in Acacia Crossings called me because of my Tails of Hope in The Communicator. She said there was a beagle sleeping in AC in the shade. My husband and I frantically drove there & called the owner on the way. The owner got a speeding tix on 347 driving like crazy to get to his pooch. When he arrived, we initally couldn't find him, but they we spotted him running in the field across 238 from AC. It was a reunion I will never forget!
Very moving. It was like a movie watching the owner call him, Jimmy realizing it was his owner & then hauling tail to get to him!

Wow! Kimberly, that is an awesome story. You truly amaze me! I too, got goose bumps reading that story. You are one of a kind!

I am sorry the owner got a traffic ticket. Maybe he can go to traffic school for it and it won't be that bad. I am so pleased he got his dog back and once again, thanks to you!

I hope you never get tired of hearing how special you are. What would we do without you?

Jimmy is doing really well despite all that has happened to him. Being out for 15 days is tough for anyone. Tom took him for vet well check that day and Jimmy is on antibiotics, looks like he got bitten quite a few times on his back side. They came over today and brought Jimmy along. He followed Tom all over the place. I am sure he is so happy to be home. Let's hope Spot turns up as well!<img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'>

I'm happy that your dog has returned. Several years ago one of our cats "broke out of the house" and was gone for 32 days. We were able to get him back through a neighborhood bulletin board like this one and a can of sardines.

Last year, a dog belonging to my wife's sister was lost for at least two months in Tucson. He was microchipped but my sister-in-law failed to register him. My sister-in-law was living in India so my wife registered the dog and found the area he had been seen in. Someone had called the phone number of the microchip company that was on his dog tag. In the meantime, the dog ran away from the man who found him. We made a trip to Tucson and passed out flyers with the dog's picture. By the time we returned to Maricopa someone called the microchip place, we turned around and picked him up that night.

Next month, the dog is going to go to Croatia to live with my sister-in-law!!
