Is anyone else being trained by their pet? Are Lab has us trained and its too cute...If he wants outside he sits behind the curtains, but if he sits next the door, dont even bother to open it because he doesnt want out unless hes behind the curtains. So everytime we hear the curtains move my fiance and I just laugh and look at eachother to see whos going to let him out.

Bye Bye Maricopa!

i had a sheltie who died last year. she could train any human in 10 minutes flat. she was quite old and didn't move too fast anymore, but she still loved chasing balls. when i would take her to the park (dog or otherwise) once i got tired of playing catch, she would find herself another likely suspect, take her tennis ball over and drop it at their feet. she was far too cute to resist, and not realizing how old she was, these humans would throw the ball a reasonable distance. but that was too far for sunday to chase the ball anymore. so she would look up at them and kind of glare...until the human went and retrieved the ball. within 10 minutes, 15 at the outside if she was dealing with a particularly slow human, she would have them throwing the ball for her exactly as far as she chose to chase it. i miss her so damned much!
