I am hoping to visit the pounds with her but I am wondering if anyone knews if any of the rescue orgs will be at the Petsmart in the Chandler & Tempe area tomorrow.

An org should be at Petco on Ray & 10, they alternate, so I don't know which one it will be. Petsmart at Alma School & Warner will have one too. I have German Shepherds pups that will need adoption as soon as we finish their shots and alteration. Not sure what size dog she is looking for! Good Luck

They have a small yard so the biggest is beagle size the biggest they want.

Visit www.petsocialworker.org . That site lists local rescued Maricopa dogs/puppies in need of adoption.

We looked there, Hector on there fit their bill but they didn't seem to interested. We will look around this weekend.

azhr...www.petfinder.com also lists local rescues/organizations and where they will be. Also, check out Maricopa County Animal Care & Control website and they have a link to rescue groups.

Hello, Went to the Petco at Tempe Market place and took our girls shopping at the mall as well. Found out there might be a dog at Arizona Animal Welfare League that she wants. Took a drive over there but got lost on the way. Oh well we have found better directions and are heading there today. We also went by the pound, wow the amount of animals is so sad. I did show them petfinder as well and they have been looking on there. There is one small dog but for the price the organization wanted... I understand getting some of the cost back but really some of these agencies are pretty crazy with their prices.

Don't know what she's looking for specifically but I have a spayed 2 yr old female mexican hairless who needs a great home!

Have you found a puppy for your friend yet? There are 3 puppies (heeler mixes) that are wandering around with their mother here in Thunderbird farms. I saw them this morning again but couldn't catch them as I was on horseback but was planning to go out tomorrow morning on foot to try get them. One puppy found a home already and they seem to be people friendly.
