How did things go last night with the storm? Better, worse, about the same??

I ended up turning a fan on in the bedroom and the tv up louder to block most of it out and Little Bit settled right down, bad thing was I had to wait out the storm to go to sleep.

The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

We use a lot of white noise with Bailey almost all the time. When we leave and she is in her crate she either listens to the rain forest CD (her favorite) or lite classical music.

We also use the fans in the bedroom at night so she is use to white noise from that at night. They all help with the storms too.

The best present ever! A day at the Phoenix Zoo as a Zookeeper. Feeding the giraffs was one of the most exciting parts of the day.

Thanks for asking.
The storm on Thursday night- I have no idea- I was dead to the world.
But last night (Friday/Sat morning-)
The big boy was not happy.
He did a lot of pacing, so I pulled his bed next to my side, and he settled down.

But, here's an interesting side note.
Sherman's the alpha dog, so Patton is 2nd here. We adopted Sherman about 6 months before Patton, and Sherman is the older dog. It seems now that whenever Patton senses Sherman is in distress, (ie last night's storm,) Patton begins to 'herd' Sherman around, and growl at him. And Sherman takes it! Its like Patton is now trying to become alpha. Patton has tested Sherman before like that when he first came home, trying to assert himself, and Sherman shot him down, pretty fast and efficiently. Ever since then, Patton has accepted his role as '2nd in command.' So now, Patton's trying to become alpha, but only when Sherman's in distress. When its back to normal, Patton's not so bad a$$ anymore.
They're knuckleheads.
Tonight I'm planning a 'me night' of knitting and tv, so if it storms, Sherman can curl up with his momma. Patton can growl all he wants.
