Alert | I just wanted to say that I have had experience with both of the local vets here in Maricopa. Pretty much all of them good. I have had unusually bad luck this past year with my cats. One had a tumor to be removed and the Dr. at Maricopa Wells told me if it were her pet , she would operate to remove the tumor. She did excellent on the surgery and may have saved my kitty's life. They seemed very understanding that I had this cat for 8yrs and was very attached to her and I didn't want to give her up. Some of the prices seemed higher than Maricopa Animal Hospital but I feel they did an excellent job. I just left Maricopa Animal hosp. about 1 hr ago, my kitten had to be put down as she had FIV and was very ill. It was devastating and the people that work there like Sharon and both Dr.'s were very kind and understanding about the situation. I have had instances with both and having to wait, thats just life at a vets. One time a lady came running in saying her dog had swallowed a long sharp bone and she was frantic, (Maricopa Animal ) took here above everyone and rushed her right back as you would hope they would do if it were your pet. I wish I hadn't needed to spend so much time at a vet this past year, but I must say I think both vets were very competant and sympathetic(at both vet hospitals).

Alert | wow..this is all crazy news to me! Linda and I have been taking our 2 dogs to maricopa wells for about a year now with no issues! the Vet has been so nice to our 2 dogs!! they call and follow-up after a visit, and call plenty of time ahead to confirm appointments too..! The dogs love going there and eating the cheezy-bacon whiz! LOL!
We have 2 labs and 1 of ours we think was abused prior to us getting him at Az Humane society and he is not even scared going there for shots, nail clippings etc... so we continue to use MW as a clinc for us..
Hopefully if those things are going on, they will correct the ASAP! | | "...you knew that before you came here"- The 85239.com's stupid answer to every comment"

Alert | | I have used Maricopa Animal Hospital over by Chitwoods, in the portable, and have never had anything but great service over the last 5 years. Just had my beagle spayed and they called the next day to ask how she was doing! I did walk into Maricopa Wells Vet once, but never went back. One of the workers there was letting their kids run amok all over the place. Very unprofessional. I'll stick with Maricopa Animal Hospital until they give me a reason not to.

Alert | | I totally agree with aardvark_lovin. I also worked there and would not take my pets back. I could never get a diagnosis or complete answer from the Dr. Before I left I could not even get my own records back from them. Now my dogs records from his first 7 years are gone. However, I would go to MAH. The Dr's and staff are great. They were always able to get my pets in the same day and did follow up calls the next day.

Alert | | I just wanted to chime in and say that last week I took my 1yo JRT to Maricopa Animal Hospital and couldnt have been more pleased with the service they provided. I was a wreck reading about the parvo in maricopa, especially in the meadows where i live and they were very kind to me and explained and answered my questions perfectly. My little Lola loved it there as well!!

Alert | | I took my cat to Maricopa Wells (this is the one by Bashas, right?) and had excellent service. My cat was 16.5 years, and ultimately euthanized. The lady vet was so sweet. She called me with my lab results (because they were abnormal - I am an RN and at the hospital, normal results are never called to a patient - no news is good news). She called a few days later to check on us and discuss surgery. And that last day sqeezed me in and discussed euthanasia. She was very sweet and sympathetic to me. Let me stay as long as I needed. I know everyone will have different experiences at different places. But so many stories in this thread are negative, I thought I would add a positive one. | | Crunchy AP, BF, CD, BW mama!

Alert | I like the vet at Maricopa Wells. Real sweet lady and good with all our animals. Her staff, however, seemed judgmental and I didn't like having to wait over 10 days to get in to see her for a cat with an injured back. MAH, squeezed me in same day and no waiting in the office. Both the vet and her staff there were a delight. I will say the CheeseWhiz trick we learned at MW has been invaluable for getting our dogs to take their medicine.

Alert | I was very happy when I took my dog to the Maricopa Animal Hospital located next to the older circle K in the older part of Maricopa. My dog had a ruptured anal gland so it was an emergency situation and they were AWESOME! I did have to ask them to trim the bill from the first few quotes but they even call 4 days later to just check up and make sure that my dog was recovering well. I was so happy with how they cared for her and seemed to really care about her condition and comfort. I am going back and feel comfortable recommending their services.

Alert | | MAH has been wonderful to my dogs. I know a woman who used to work at MWAH and she was treated very poorly. For that reason alone I will not go there. | | Poster formerly known as Sassafrass.

Alert | | I 100% support Maricopa Animal Hospital as well. IMO they are the best. I have tried both and will never return to Wells for what happened. | | Pizzaking Wasnt a member 0 posts

Alert | | I generally don't post out here but I must defend Dr. V and the staff at Maricopa Wells. They have always been kind to my dogs and have gone above-and beyond to fit them in for emergencies or accomodate my schedule. I had a senior dog that I had been taking to the Casa Grande clinic for multiple health issues. They told me there was nothing they could do to help her. Based on a recommendation from a friend, I took my dog there and Dr. V was able to improve the quality of my dog's life and extend it for another couple of years. I have never seen any of the negative behaviors listed above.
